Bernie is just another in a long line of examples why we need term limits in the House and we need to abolish the 17th amendment.
Even that still wouldn’t solve the problem with them becoming wealthy off their position, because many learn how to benefit themselves within the first term, but at least it would put a dent into just how wealthy they can become while screwing the voters.

Tell me about it…the center of the low was over us last nite and now it’s immediately to our west. As it went over us it hit us with 2″ per hour. It’s lightened up, gonna pump the septic down, but until it decides to pack up and head out we’re gonna be wet. Good thing I dropped the lake level too, water’s standing in the area and those hundreds of acres that drain into the lake can’t absorb it as fast as it’s falling.

I’ve actually been trying yo get an explosives licence but the Federal hoops you have to jump through are incredible. I’m going to have to have a sit-down with ATF and see what I can get away with but as of now it’s looking like I’d have to build an explosives magazine that would cost as much as a small house. It’s looking cheaper to just but a small tractor with a backhoe that can get into the area.

When cleaning out the barn, after I retired, found a keg of black powder. Called PSP asked for bomb disposal to remove, oh the came right over real quick. Later the ATF showed up, wanted to see paperwork, this license, this and this. Told them the history of the place don’t know who put that keg there……they were going to cite me, that when I said “off my Lawn” come back with a warrant and any questions can be referred to my Lawyer. My lawyer (my son) the Fed handle this…..as my son said: “city boys, need to stay in the city”.

This is so true. The thing that really blows my mind is how, looking back, fast and quick Obama threw down the gauntlet with the professor and cop. There was a movement already in place, a movement well organized world-wide against officers who are our first line of defense to protect our liberties, and so many of us just did not know. We were almost too late to the party, so to speak. Hoping for Trump win.

I miss the world where people were happy to see a patrol car in the neighbor’s drive, and felt a little safer at night, not just because an officer lived nearby, but because it was a tangible reminder that we live in a society based on law and order, and we could all phone for a policeman when we needed to.
That world is gone in most parts of the country.
I once had a priest who gave a sermon on tearing down and building up. His point was, in the parish and in your own life, whether at home or at work, don’t be so anxious to tear things down, to destroy, with words or actions, unless you have, and are willing to implement, a plan to make things better.
We have lots of people like the BGI crowd who are willing to rip apart our society with no plan or hope for improvement. Basically, their plan is to take more than they are already given, but they are destroying what they want to take.

This is what evil does to people, when they begin to take it in and let it grow, individually and in groups in a society.
This kind of evil has no desire to make things better for other people. And it lies to the people it wants to infect, telling them that if they take something from someone else, his property or even his life, that the people doing the evil will benefit somehow from their bad acts. Lies from the father of lies Evil only ends in destruction, trying to trample and kill anything good in the world, and in the end it destroys its hosts as well.

Flooding should be bad around Baton Rouge, they’re talking about it exceeding the 1983 deluge. Then again, there are a lot more houses, apartments and other developments there now preventing proper drainage and flow so it’s not surprising. We took over 20 inches a while back and that caused some flooding but it drained off in less than 8 hours…then again we haven’t overdeveloped the area.

Meanwhile we are without water. Farmer got new irrigation, massive and runs all the time. Lowered our well by 25′ and only 20′ left (that any very little snow in winter and zippo rain this summer). We noticed the irrigation was getting wimpy and then after lots of well trucks, it is gushing again. So, maybe he found a new water table and we can have ours back before dries up. We hope to drop the pump and added pipe length this weekend. Mr. Wallflower and sons handy like that.

We do have one well that we use for watering the animals and the gardens that is sulphur water. It’s pretty bad.
Our other well though has sweet water.
My grandparents had a nasty well, it had a lot of iron in it. Granny would fill pitchers and let it sit in a cool place and later years in the fridge and claimed then all the iron settled to the bottom and it tasted fine. It never tasted fine to me. lol

The last well I had to use had natural gas, iron, and who knows what else. Not nice. The well at the farm where my mom grew up had wonderful water.

Alright you city folks listen up!!!! Any well shallow or deep, jet or submergable pump will capture methane gas. To prevent this you must do this: at the well cap, install a vent quarter or half inch pipe through the well cap up about a foot or so above the well cap. This will bleed off the methane. As for Iron, Sears has Iron filters that will re-generate, filter your water. Very maintenance intensive unit, also add a softener down line from the Iron filter. And if you buried your pump lines do this before: around the well cap, gravel, then brick up about 3-4 courses then make a concrete lid. As for your lines put them through 6inch plastic pipe wrap in cheap 12 g wire. If going through wall of house make sure you use a collar around the pipe. At the well head install disconnects above the well cap, then inside the house install disconnects. You will be able to change your water lines without digging them up. You can winch the lines out or up from the well.

Sorry Colonel won’t work on the sulphur well, it has a vent, just like the good well.
My husband’s cousins have dealt with a sulphur well for decades and they have over that time spent thousands of dollars in everything under the sun to rid themselves of the nasty water.
It is actually quite common in Oklahoma to have sulphur water and nobody has found a cure yet.
Take my two wells, there is about 400 feet separating them, both the same exact depth, both installed the same exact way, one is sulphur, the other is not.
Worse yet is my neighbor who has two wells within fifty feet of each other, one sulphur, the other good water.
There are filters you can buy that make the claim to remove the smell, but they don’t work either.
Myself, I don’t care because sulphur water works as a natural insect repellant.
Today you can filter iron, however years ago there was no filters period for water. Most of my family in Arkansas with iron water do have filters today, not only filters to the house but also filters at each water source inside the house, however even with the filters I can still taste the iron.
They can’t, but then they’ve been accustomed to iron water all of their lives.

Yup, big reason I left Utah was living through a drought that had the city rationing the water we consumed. We wanted a place that was drought-proof and we got what we wished for, and more.
I know your well issues, that’s what we have. We drilled ours deeper than the regular aquifer as the county’s using it. There was also a half-assed plan being hatched to have a compny come in and turn natural gas into fertilizer. That would have drained the upper aquifer and most of the local rivers. I only have about 110 feet of pipe but we can add on more of needed to go to the deeper levels. Yup, things city folk don’t have to think about.

We also have rural water, we rarely use it, just pay for it every month. lol
It was here when we bought the place, so we keep it for those times when we have no power and it is connected to one water hydrant that we use when we’re feeding out cattle. We have a huge generator and small generators so it’s possible to still run the well, but it’s just simpler and cheaper to turn a switch and have water until the power comes back on.
I would hate having to use it all the time though, you can taste the chemicals they put in the water and the water pressure is horrible.
We have no short supply of water, if the SHTF they can’t kill us off with no water. lol

Got a well, got a lake, that’s it. Got a generator but looking at solar too as generator’s propane. Tesla’s supposed to have an affordable and reliable battery pack on the near horizon that will deal with the nitetime solar problem but it’s nice to have a backup for the backup. Also makes it harder for the Rats to smoke us out when we refuse to have the Mark of the Beast tattooed on our foreheards or rename our driveway ‘MLK Boulevard’.

We have a lake as well, plus a creek and ponds.
Propane is why I say it’s expensive to run a generator, especially when it’s weeks.
The smaller generator run off gasoline, but that gets expensive as well.
My menfolk built a wood powered generator, but they haven’t perfected it yet, but it will generate enough power to power the freezers.
Don’t ask me how they did it or how it works, because it’s a mystery to me even after having them explain it to me a dozen times.
They’re always out there concocting something. Most of their stuff they just wasted their time on and I laughed about their wood powered generator and told them they wouldn’t be able to power a lamp, but they proved me wrong.

Wood-powered engines are not new, there were some during thevDepression and they were alsomused during/after WWII in the Pacific where coconut husks were burned. They work by having the ‘fuel’ cooked at a lower temp not high enough to ignite the volatile gasses but high enough to generate them. I thought about doing one (Mother Earth had some planscyears ago) but they’re fussy and dirty and I got enuff problems.

I did not. I did, however, discover that I shall not paint with “flat” again. Pure accident – the morons at the paint store (Sherwin Williams for y’all that paint) gave me “flat” when I had ordered “satin”. I ran out. Hadda get more.
#1) you cannot wash flat paint if there’s something slopped/smeared on the wall.
#2) flat paint is cheap, as a rule, and one must use much more of it to cover.
#3) flat paint sucks.
The.End.

They did that to me at Lowes, it was partly my fault I assumed they’d mix what I told them to mix. I had brought up the base I wanted and they told me it was the wrong base for the color I had chosen, so I told them to make sure it was satin or semi-gloss. I got it home and painted one coat and knew something was wrong and looked at the can and saw they gave me flat.
Took it back and complained, but it got me nowhere, so I went to the local lumber yard. I didn’t even ask for a full refund because I should have looked, I was just asking for a discount on another gallon.
So I have an almost full gallon of paint if anyone needs some crappy paint. lol

The trade off is that the more sheen you have the greater is shows the flaws in your wall, so you need to be really good at sanding and patching. I like Behr eggshell. It has a little sheen and is durable too.

I read this article on AT and instead of getting ticked at another bash Trump article I ended up laughing. Nothing funnier to me for someone to talk about silver spoons while not having a clue how those of us in flyover states talk or act.
Just maybe that’s part of why most Americans are sick of establishment types, you think we’re a bunch of tobacco spittin’ stupid people who sit around braggin’ about our guns with each other while plannin’ a revolution.
Since we supposedly think and talk that way you’d think we would have heard Trump make the call for us to stop Hillary with our guns or that we would have heard his call for a revolution. Too bad for you we heard Hillary gets elected and we’re going to be screwed, so we better vote for Trump or we’re going to have a fight on our hands likely to big to win and a political fight not a gunfight.

I’ve always kind of been sorry for chickens, they can be scratching around without a care in the world and out of nowhere something can come along and brutally end their life, times not even killing them instantly but taking chunks out of them before they die.

I finally got around to reading the AT article. It’s correct thinking if you are a status quo type of person. Trump is doing it wrong and is the wrong GOP candidate if you want things to stay the same as they are. I think it’s due to a false impression of stability. My wife has described what she misses about the USSR as the stability. Not the bribery, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, gombeenism, parochialism patronage, influence peddling, graft, and embezzlement. Just that it was known and could be dealt with.

Sort of related is the latest outrage of Trump saying Obama is the founder of ISIS. How many conservatives have said Obama and Hillary’s actions and policies have created ISIS? Yet now suddenly Trump is this evil man, so according to so-called conservatives he must be defeated, money must be withheld for him and the GOP must dump him and Hillary should be elected. Okay, maybe they don’t all say that, but it’s either Trump or Hillary so if you don’t want Trump you must want Hillary.
Now I sit here in flyover country and scratch my head trying to comprehend how Trump saying this was a mistake or is wrong or is mean.
4 years ago I sat here in flyover country and scratched my head while I was defending the wuss Romney over a dog on top of his car, why he wouldn’t defend himself or turn it on Obama. I defended him by saying, “who cares if he tied a dog to the top of his car, Obama ate a dog. I was told by some “connected” Republicans that Romney couldn’t say that, he needed us to say it. Why couldn’t Romney say it, more people were going to hear Obama ate a dog if Romney said it than would hear it when I said Obama ate a dog. Then others who said they couldn’t believe Romney wouldn’t say Obama ate a dog and wished they had a candidate who would fight.
Now some of those same people from each group are having fits because we have a candidate who would say, “Obama ate a dog.”
Yes, I’m still just a little mad that I had to try and help elect a man who was such a wuss he sat back and took being called an animal abuser when he was running against a man who ate a dog, even recorded his book in his voice repeating he ate a darn dog.

It just reaffirms to me what I wrote to lovely a day or so ago; it isn’t a valid charge. They just want to tie people up defending against it. Some thoughts on Hillary’s health 😏.
I haven’t seen this mentioned but there is so much information out there that it likely has already been said but I’m going to say it anyhow.
Look at this picture of Hillary and think about the official HRC explanation. Hillary slipped, fell and needed help up the stairs because she was in pain and discombobulated.
Normally if you fall and someone is helping you they kind of tuck you in and get as close to your body as they can so they can support your whole body and catch you if you start to fall. Look at where Hillary’s handlers are they are simply positioned to help her balance as if she is drunk or off balance because of an internal imbalance. If she slipped and needed help this is a very very curious position for her handlers to be in to help the wounded old bat.
Why is no one behind Hillary in case she passes out or stumbles backwards? Hillary is no lithe woman she is a think broad. If she were to pass out or stumble (which it seems should be concern if she slipped and was feeling dizzy) she is going straight down and maybe taking her two balancing beam friends with her.
The position of Hillary’s handlers indicates to me that she is simply off balance but not in danger of toppling so long as she has help balancing therefore this must not be a first time experience for her helpers.
What about Hillary’s paranoia?
How many candidates for POTUS have we seen having their hand held by SS on a casual walk through a corridor?
And why would her friendly SSA whisper words of encouragement to her, why would he not have put himself between Hillary and the threat? He did. The threat was Hillary’s own mind, breaking down because some animal rights nutters shouted something at her. this SSA did exactly what his particular job it is to do.
And I do believe that there is no doubt he is SS. Likely also a trained medic, likely has a psychology or some other mental health resume. Remember Hillary almost repeated verbatim what he said to her and he immediately kept the other agents away from her.
Also I’m not sure if folks are still doubting that he is SS. I know they are on Twitter.
Look at his pin in this picture.
The secret Service was founded in 1865, his pin reads 150, likely a commemorative pin of the SS’s founding. Thanks to oldaiguy we know the SS changes their pins if not daily frequently to keep other from duplicating them.

Thanks oldaiguy, you gave me the clue to look for the pin, I can’t remember who had the picture posted on their website but I believe it was Ceronovich. I’m thinking that he has a special dispensation to dress casually, the purple shirt, the striped shirt and the polo in one picture. I’d bet that is to help him not be intimidating for Hillary given she hates the site of SSAs.

I guess the Blaze is only setup for subscriptions. Business wise, I wonder if it will have any impact on their sales.
Personally, I tried to listen to the radio program a couple of weeks ago and it only takes about 30 seconds of Trump bashing before I turn it off. I don’t listen to any of the talk radio any more. I got tired of questioning every little thing they say now.

Same here. I dropped the radio talk shows. I used to listen to about 5 different ones. Then I watched Glenn Beck for a time, mostly before he went to FOX. He got dropped first. Then the rest, one by one. I think the last was Levin, who I couldn’t take every single night but maybe 2 times a week. It’s been 3 or 4 years now that they’re all gone, and more years since the cable was cut. My husband started listening to Rush again while he’s putting down the flooring in the living room. He’ll come in and say “did you hear ……?” I’ll say “who said that? how do you know it’s the real truth? where’s the proof of the statement?” He stopped coming and telling me things.
I don’t really trust most “conservative” websites, since I’ve seen them twisting the truth and slinging mud, just like the opposition do. I guess you could say I don’t trust any of it fully, no matter where it comes from.

I caught it once and it was pretty funny. Most people liked him, many asked business questions, and maybe one or two went after him with nonsensical arguments. He knocked them down rather quickly.
He is also very hot and cold and quick to take offense about some things whereas other things he just doesn’t care what people think because he knows they are wrong. As I said very interesting person.
I would love to know his IQ.

It sounds persuasive. My father-in-law had Parkinson’s. I didn’t live near enough to see him all the time, but I could see things changing as we would go to visit. I never saw a radical head-shaking thing like one of the videos of her, more like long-term tremors and shaking. I know their sense of balance goes and they walk differently, as long as they can still walk. I know their facial muscles change and their faces eventually get a sort of set expression. I’d be willing to bet, though, that a competent neurologist would say that the symptoms or whatever it is we’re seeing could fit with several illnesses. The brain is so very complicated, and medical science still doesn’t know that much about it.
Here’s a quote from The National Parkinson Foundation:
“There is no ‘one way’ to diagnose Parkinson’s disease (PD). However, there are various symptoms and diagnostic tests used in combination. One of the most important things to remember about diagnosing PD is that there must be two of the four main symptoms present over a period of time for a neurologist to consider a PD diagnosis.”
http://www.parkinson.org/understanding-parkinsons/diagnosis
So there is no straightforward test to absolutely determine the diagnosis of Parkinson’s. They also go by long-term symptoms and response to medication. This is how my husband got finally diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. They did every test known for MG on him, and no test came back conclusive. However, they could see with their own eyes the eyelid-drooping thing. But that symptom could also indicate other illnesses. So they had to conclude he had MG because they gave him the medication for MG, and he dramatically improved with his symptoms. I had to strong-arm the doctor into trying the medication. Otherwise, my husband would have gone for over 1 1/2 years untreated, while we were being told after every test that that test showed nothing definite. If my step-daughter hadn’t been diagnosed with advanced MG when she was 20, I might not have convinced the doctor. She gets the credit for seeing the symptoms in her dad and bugging me to get him to the doctor.
One thing the Parkinson Foundation says is that stress makes symptoms worse. That’s true for many illnesses. I cannot imagine anyone being crazy enough to try to run for the office of President of the USA and then try to do the job, if they know they have something like Parkinson’s. I realize there are people crazy enough to do it, and she might be crazy enough to do it, but I wouldn’t want anyone that far out of reality to be my president.

Unless being President is that persons life dream…. I can only imagine being that close to ones dream to then be taken out by a disease like PD.

Yes, I realize that. But that job is enough to wear down the strongest of people. Really, just think of the stress. We laugh and call Obama lazy, and maybe he is compared to other people, but even if he does less, it’s still taken its toll on him. What they have to know and deal with that we never know. All the trips and seeing people and just the formal stuff alone. Parkinson’s is progressive. She is not young either. It would just be like asking for it. I can see someone blinded by the lure of power or fame trying to go for it, but I also know what it’s like to be older and unwell all the time. She just wouldn’t be able to keep it up, not if she has something like that.

All I have to say is look at the greys! Ever notice how everyone goes in with nice looking hair and towards the end they have greyed about 20 years worth?
I agree with you; it’s just sad really.

So are we to assume that “Guccifer 2.0” is the leak of the DNC emails and not Seth Rich?

Beats me. I honestly think even the government is still playing the guessing game on who is doing the leaking.
I would almost make a bet though there are multiple actors in wikileaks.

How does one score a 0 in diving? Did she jump from the board? Did she land in the water?
One would think that you’d at least get some points for those two crucial things.
