Uh, oh, conflict of interest? I mean, the kid is black, along with the mother and father. If you think about it, this is like the black on black killings in Chicago, it doesn’t count.

I think it’s because it was a gorilla they shot it, if it had been a white tiger they would have used a tranquilizer.
I actually saw someone copy and post a tweet on FB that said if it had been a white tiger they wouldn’t have killed it.

The mother of the child is white, I think.

I think there is some confusion about the race of the mother because some media showed a picture of a white woman along with the gorilla story, but it was actually a picture of a woman who heard the boy tell his mom that he wanted to go in the water.
Mom and dad: Deonne Dickerson and Michelle Gregg are the parents of the four-year-old boy who fell into the gorilla enclosure housing Harambe on Saturday at Cincinnati Zoo
Apparently there is no second barrier. 38 years and people managed to keep their kids from going for a dip with the apes and the barrier kept the gorillas in their structure. 100% the mom’s fault.
I haven’t read anywhere else that the gorilla climbed the ladder with the boy.

Maybe the gorilla was making a statement aftet he saw the pictures of native African poachers murdering Dian Fosse by chopping her to bits. They were PO’d that she was interfering with their killing mountain gorillas and selling their parts on the international market. They wouldn’t let the gorilla have matches so it couldn’t burn the US flag but when the unobservant parents offered up one of their extra children….

And Isaiah or Isiah’s life mattered more than figuring out if a gorilla was going to crush his skull. 100% the mother’s fault that the kid got in there and that the gorilla is dead. They interviewed a lady who filmed the water scene and she said the gorilla was even rougher up in the dry habitat, that it was so disturbing that she couldn’t even video tape it.

That was wierd, in the middle of a post and iPad justvwent and sent w/o being asked – wonder if NSA holiday weekend sole-monitor had to go to the can and just returned all non-RAT heretics’ computer controls bavk to us?
Any way, S/B: Not sur if the gorilla had instruction in urban child playdare etiquite. Not unusual for non-parental male apes to destroy another male’s offspring when dating their mamas, note how many cases of boyfriends killing their squeeze’s child(ren) by another male you see on the urban news. Cat and dogs do it too.
I believevthat had that gorilla wanted to kill that child he would ans with little effort. I do believe he was confused and the childvdidn’t actbor smell like an adult so he woild notbhave been perceived as a threat or rival. The keepers did have a ‘safe’ signal and two of the gorillas obeyed, I’m betting the male was confused and a bit defensive. I’d like to have seen a bit more time have been spent calming the male down, he did carry the child up to their personal area and his initial reaction may well have been initiated by the frenzied onlookers. Fifteen minutes? That ape could have killed that kid in fifteen seconds if that were his plan.

I don’t think they killed him because he wanted to kill the child, but rather that what he was doing would kill him.

What’s done is done, one of the most magnificent creatures alive is dead and everyone will get a ‘bye’ on this one. Too many zoo animals die from ****-poor oversight of treatment and/or bad procedures. We’ve had too many animals pay the price for barriers that were so in name only as we regularly see on the news and animals who’ve been injured by idiots on our side of the cages who mistrest them in various ways.

I don’t believe they had any choice but to kill the gorilla. I also don’t think the mother should be taking so much heat. It was a 3 foot barrier and just that fast, he was over and crawled through the bushes or walked through them, IDK. It could happen to any mom or dad, but once he fell or jumped into the water, and the gorilla became agitated, simply no choice but to kill him. Amazes me the comments I see on the news sections. It’s like people have no life or something. Yes, I feel sorry that the animal had to die, but between a human and an animal, human wins hands down.

I crossed the Mississippi on a regular basis on a 40 year old ferry with my GGS from the time he was three thru five. We’d be out on deck as the ferry plowed thru waves and wakes, the only thing between us and the river was a three-pipe railing about three feet high. Never did let go of him and he never once fell in. We also went to the Audobon zoo and I never let him fall into any of the animals’ enclosures. Had he suffered from my inattentiveness in either case you can bet I’d have been charged. Reason for child going to the zoo is to watch the animals, parents reason for being there is to watch the child.

While I agree, kids can get away in a blink of an eye and by accounts I have read that is what happened. She did chase him and couldn’t catch him and she also tried to jump in after him and was stopped. This wasn’t a mom doing whatever and not paying attention, at least from what I have read. I still say, once the child was in danger no choice but to kill the gorilla.

Reality is what it is.
The child could run
a 500 yard dash.
Mom, perhaps, 5 feet.
Her lack of speed is
why the boy was in
the situation he was.
Her weight funny? No,
tragic, for the gorilla.

By your logic, handicapped people shouldn’t take their children out in public either, because if their child happened to dart away, no chase could be given. I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t feel bad the gorilla was killed. Changes nothing, the child has to come first, or do you want to punish him for his mother’s weight?
Reality is, you saw a chance to take a potshot at a person’s weight and so you did.

This is a lovely song. Thank you. I had never heard it. “We must make the run successful, from the cradle to the grave.”
Of course, WE don’t make it successful. He does it in us, and I’ll tell you that I am seeing how difficult it is to hang on and trust when it feels like my train is breaking down and going off the tracks. I can understand how soldiers will talk about being so afraid and just keep going…that that is the essence of bravery.
Where and when did so many people get this idea of sunshine and lollipops, hearts and flowers raining down from heaven, being faith in God? This total avoidance of reality and suffering — just think happy thoughts and God will make you all happy-feeling? It’s not even funny…it’s dangerous for people.

We honestly did enjoy it. It was a nice short get away. I even let him talk me into getting into a hot air balloon, but drew the line at the zip line.
The dinner show was a little cheesy, but the food was good.
The kids made sure to call ahead and let them know it was our anniversary, it was on their sign out front and a wine and cheese basket was in the room. Then at the show they also had to announce it, thanks again to the kids. So a lot of people now know we’re older than dirt.

We usually start with 5 to 7 cygnets. By late Spring we are usually down to 2. I can only clearly remember one year that 5 swans made it to adulthood.
Most people on the lake believe that snapping turtles get them. It is a small lake 330 acre surface and not very populated, only residents can use the lake so I don’t think humans are a problem.

Foxes? Cats?
LikeLiked by 1 person
There are coyotes. Cats? I have seen less than a handful of free running cats over the years. I think foxes and cats might be a little tepid in approaching a swan. They are fiercely protective.
Czar or Col. suggested Pike or Garfish. I know we have both but I haven’t seen a Garfish in years.

We have a lot of baby ducks around here and there are all kinds of predators after them, starting with the another type of male duck and grabs them and holds them under water until they drown. There are white birds that go after the eggs, and 3 other kinds of birds that go after the babies. And, of course, there is our resident hawk. I think that is where a lot of them go.That hawk even hunts on my patio. It flies back and forth a lot.
LikeLiked by 2 people
Oh, yes, we have big turtles, maybe some fish, and probably an alligator that could eat baby ducks.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Ducks visit but don’t live on the lake, the same as the geese, the swans are very territorial. I’ve watched poppa swans run off a dozen geese.
We have hawks so they might be a culprit but I’ve gotta think there is easier prey.
LikeLiked by 1 person
I have fish in my lake that eat duckings and may well have snapping turtles that will eat adult ducks. Large Gar fish will take down geese, as will large snapping turtles. Then we have water moccasins that will kill, if not eat, ducklings or cygnets, if given the chance. It’s a tough life being a tasty water bird.

BTW, just to keep that ‘Southern Circle of Life’ thing straight, them gar and turtles be good eatin’ too. Hakuna matata and all that.

I just remember going down to the lake at night with a flashlight and the garfish would be slowly swimming at the very top of the water almost like they were lifeless and then they would dart off, I always thought they were creepy. My grandfather cracking their “beaks” probably did nothing for my general uneasy feeling about them 🙄

Back in thebold days in Palm Beac County they’d school in the big canals, they seemed to thrive in water other fish avoided. We’d see huge ones in the more remote canals and lakes and there used to be acresturant in NOLA that dated waaaaay back and had taxidermied gar over three feet long. They were a great game fish, gave you a fight. Think I’d previously mentioned that the first week she was here our rescue border collie pulled an 18-incher gar out of the lake and chewed on it for about two weeks, must be sum gooooood eatin’.

I even “found” a stone patio outside the back door that I didn’t realize was under the snow. LOL Bulb plants had always been an annual to me because I lived where it was hot. I believe it said on one of those sites that it was very easy to raise from seeds. A bird could have dropped it in his poop. It will grow in full sun or part shade. That is ALL I have, just full sun almost all the time and a tiny little bit of shade in one corner, and LOTS of heat.

I think 10 billion dollars, decades in the cutthroat NY real estate business and knowing the powerful politicians, judicial parties and all the PTB inside out has filled Trump’s quiver quite well.
I will never forget the look on Rubio’s face when Trump brought up the house and money quid pro quo which Rubio participated in.
Trump has put them all on notice, it started with little things like Lindsey Graham’s phone number, “Lindsey Graham he came begging me for money, gave me his phone number, do I still have it? By George I do, here ya’ go.” 😀
Trump has a vault of information on people I have no doubt and neither do they.

I’d take an O’Douls pipeline to my house. I started drinking that stuff after I had already crossed the line from osteopenia to osteoporosis. It had been over 20 years since I’d had a beer, and to me it tasted close enough, though obviously no alcohol bite. A few years later, I didn’t even have osteopenia. My bones were great! My husband did research and came to a conclusion it was something in the hops or whatever. He’d go with me and blurt out his thought to doctors. You can guess how well that went. Then, last year, he discovered a research study coming to the same conclusions about the chemical substance/whatever it is – and beer is full of that thing. Ladies, drink some beer!

Illegal Aliens Spreading Measles: 14 U.S. LOCATIONS INFECTED
http://dennismichaellynch.com/illegal-aliens-spreadingmeasle-in-the-us/
… What started with one inmate at the detention center in central Arizona has now expanded to 11 confirmed cases of measles – 7 total illegal aliens and 4 people who are workers at the facility. The detention center has stopped accepting new illegal aliens or releasing any currently held there. They are working to isolate patients and vaccinating everyone else in the facility.
Measles is highly contagious. The symptoms include fever, red, watery eyes, cough and runny nose, followed by a rash that is red, raised, and blotchy. The rash begins on the face at the hairline and moves down the body and may last five to six days. Symptoms can take up to 21 days to appear after the first exposure. …

Good grief! One team of attorney’s representing the plaintiffs in the Trump University has paid the Clintons, $450,000 in speaking fees.
http://www.allenbwest.com/michellejesse/as-judge-unseals-trump-university-docs-bombshell-revealed
As judge unseals Trump University docs, BOMBSHELL revealed…
It comes to light from LawNewz that the law firm Robbins Geller appointed by Judge Gonzalo Curiel to represent a plaintiff in the Trump University class action suits has another connection to Hillary Clinton beyond a $2700 campaign contribution from firm chairman Darren Robbins. LawNewz did not mention the firm’s connection to the Trump University case. The information was apparently retrieved from a Washington Post data base with the Clinton financial filings on file. (The Post itself has not reported on this connection.)
It seems that Robbins Geller “paid the Clintons nearly half a million dollars in less than a year.” Why? Speeches of course.
That’s right. One of the law firms picked by the Judge in the Trump University case — the very Judge Donald Trump accuses by name of anti-Trump bias — awarded this firm the case after — say again after — Hillary and Bill Clinton had been paid a cool $450,000 for two speeches by the firm.
Just wow!

My husband said “oh I noticed you were breathing a little funny….” This is how mellow I have become. I said “Well, next time would you please wake me up? Well look at what the despicable Rove sent me;
There are only 23 weeks left until Election Day 2016.
This election, Republicans have more at stake than ever.
The White House, our GOP Senate majority, and the U.S. Supreme Court are all on the line.
We have 24 Republican Senate seats up for reelection this year.
But with Democrats spending tens of millions of dollars to unseat our Republican senators in states like Illinois, Ohio, New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, it’s clear this election will be hard and difficult.
Our Republican majority is in jeopardy and with it, the Supreme Court. Are willing to fight for our Republican Senate? Then please pitch in $25 or more immediately >>>
A Republican victory will be impossible if our Senate campaigns are be OUTSPENT by Democrats and DROWNED by their negative ads.
Will you take action?
Pitch in $25, $50, $100 or any amount you can give and generous supporters of our Senate GOP Majority will triple-match every dollar you give.
If committed conservatives do not act NOW, Republicans could face a series of tremendous losses this fall that devastate our conservative movement and damage our country’s future.
We need your help — and fast. The FEC-mandated May reporting deadline is less than 48 hours away. Don’t wait — please take action today.
Thank you,
Karl Rove
