Our volunteer Russian Blue mix gets carried away when she gets outside. We leave tbe garage open to let her have a safe place to retreat to when the sun goes down but every now and then she gets carried away and misses our shutting the garage door. She’s learned that the border collie makes a 10 PMish ‘last call’ run out the patio doors so if she’s caught out in the dark and scary world all she has to do is hide in the herbs until the BC comes back. The BC will lie down on the back patio waiting for us to let her in so the cat can go over and sit with, in cold weather on, her and she’ll feel safe. We open the patio door to let the BC in and it ain’t unusual to have the cat run in first.

And just think, without the techno-magic of the internet we’d never know that other peoples’ cats were capable of doing much more than eating our houseplants and hacking up decorous fur balls in inconvenient places.

My cat chews paper, which can be inconvenient if I leave out important papers, magazines I want to read, etc.
This morning, I found that she had “stolen” the new laser cat toy, and it was on the floor, blinking.

I have cat claw marks all over the rubber backing on my iPad. Appears I’m not the only one who has issues with it.
Has your cat started using the laser to point out things it wants?

Tripod is, as usual, sleeping on his new blankie.
He sleeps about 23 hours a day.
