Very important article/information, IMO:
What Is The Purpose of Islamic Centers/Mosques in America?
“…Finally, the Islamic Law of Sacred Space makes clear that when Muslims build mosques they are claiming ground for Islam.” [emphasis mine; nevertheless, it is true. Once part of the ummah, always part of the ummah…in their opinion]

Your ((((hugs)))) have reminded me of a story involving Mother Teresa. I have a very dear friend who is a priest. When he was newly ordained he had the opportunity to hear Mother Teresa speak.
There was a get together before the talk, maybe a hundred people were in attendance. Mother Teresa was going to mill about and visit with the crowd before her speech.
So the door to opens and in walks Mother Teresa and some of her Sisters of the Poor.
Mother Teresa locks eyes with my friend and walks directly to him, she holds his hands in prayer and spends a good 10 minutes with him to the exclusion of others.
They had a beautiful chat about prayer.
Not long after it was time to take their seats and Mother Teresa to give her talk.
My friend sat there so proud of the attention that Mother Teresa had showered on him. He couldn’t wait to tell his us how Mother Teresa had singled him out, “What specialness did she see in him?”
Then Mother Teresa began her talk 😎.
One of the first things she said about losing yourself to the will of Christ was that in going new places and meeting new people the first thing one should do is find the person who they would on their own be the least attracted to, the one they would last approach, and then go to that person and seek Jesus in them.

Your story brings a smile. But oh, the lesson behind the smile. For both parties. I would imagine the saint gave your friend a lesson in grace that he never forgot, and has used to good end. I would also speculate that God in his wisdom used the little nun to channel that grace to many, many who would let it grow in them and share it.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful story.

I believe Mother Teresa was a vessel. My friend left the church when he went off to CalTech, after which he became a scientist. He has a brilliant mind. He received the call to the priesthood and answered yes leaving the secular world and all its perks and adulation behind, but he fought with pride due to his natural intellect.
I can imagine that Mother Teresa was slightly uncomfortable saying what she said but believed for some reason it was what Christ was leading her to say.
It is one of my favorite stories 🙂

LikeLiked by 3 people
Yep, the big on is bearing down on us. We here in my neck of the Georgia hills are about to get slammed. Could be as much as 3-4″ they say. My preparations consist of going out for two pounds of coffee and then coming home and filling up five gallon buckets of water, lest the power go off. The only drawback to my delicious well water is the electric pump required to get it to me.

I just received my two 3# bags of coffee beans from Costco. I’m ready.
I would certainly appreciate delicious well water, but I remember filling up containers with water! Maybe a generator?

When we were dependent on a well people suggested that we fill our tub with water so that we could use it to flush the toilet if we lost power.
LikeLiked by 3 people
We do that if things look like they will be bad for a long time, but the only actual bathtub is upstairs, so we’d have to go use that bathroom or lug down a bucket at a time. So we keep containers on the main level handy for use in our main floor bathroom.
When we remodeled our bathroom I lost the tub/shower or shower only argument. And I still miss my bathtub too.

Shouldn’t last long all, so as long as the wind doesn’t get the trees, I’m in good shape.

The Drudge “Super Poll” is closed ;
Trump 413,399 votes (36.05%)
Sanders 340,387 votes (29.69%)
Cruz 220,501 votes (19.33%)
Bush 10,305 votes (0.9%)
Clinton 10,096 votes (0.88%)
Interesting poll. At first I was surprised that so many voters would vote in a Drudge poll for Sanders. Then I realized that Sander’s supporters are mostly tech savvy and likely voting on multiple devices. Heck I could vote from 6 devices if I was so inclined.
Maybe Sanders did have that many independent voters, I doubt it. In fact I’m sure even some Trump voters voted multiple times. I believe the difference in the demographics of Sanders and Trump’s support base, leftists v traditionalists, and the general dishonesty and willingness to cheat demonstrated again and again by ideologue liberals who are the core of Sanders supporters make it likely that Sanders number can almost be cut in half as to unique voters.
That said. Cruz (who I am sure people voted multiple times for also) getting beat by Sanders in the Drudge poll is going to be red meat for many folks and also enhance the fact that Cruz has a major problem.
I included Bush and Clinton just for the chuckle. How embarrassing. Clinton can’t blame it on democrats not frequenting Drudge, not with the Sanders showing. There is always the vast rightwing conspiracy.
Bush all I can say is Good Gravy, he should just go do those cool things he was yammering on about and pull himself out of this embarrassing farce.

Comedy, especially, seems to serve the cause of desensitizing the public to raunch. Female comics in particular have abandoned the craft of humor in favor of dull crudity. Whether Kathy Griffin’s bucket of female genitalia or the lewdness of Amy Shumer or Chelsea Handler, female comics seem to lead the way in distasteful unfunniness.
Indeed. Betty White comes to mind.
Wow. And this is all calculated by the commies who took over America.

If you don’t know about this Lena Dunham person, she’s a TV “star”.
Her father was an “avant garde” painter, who painted images of giant vaginas. They hung on the walls of this girl’s house, as she “grew up”. I put that in quotes because she really never did. She is the product of people like Stanley Ann. Like Marion Zimmer Bradley. Look ’em up. She is the product of the sick, of the ill, and of the spiritually diseased.

Right on cue — serendipitous even — from SD’s latest post:
Cold Anger does not need to go to violence. For those who carry it, no conversation is needed. You cannot poll or measure it; and even those who carry it avoid discussion; and that decision has nothing whatsoever to do with any form of correctness.
Cold Anger is not hatred, it is far more purposeful. Cold Anger absorbs betrayal silently, often prudently. Cold Anger is not driven to act in spite of itself; it drives a reckoning.

Let the fun commence. I’m NE of Atlanta (around the Winder area) and we briefly had some sleet around 3:00pm. We are expecting snow around 7:00pm. But we have had non-stop rain for almost 24hrs and we are very wet. The freezing temps will make it nasty on the roads.
Sister-cop starts work at 6:00pm tonight. Her dept ordered new uniforms but the long sleeved shirts have not arrived. She’s wearing short sleeves. Hopefully all the fools will stay home and it will be a quiet night.
Feel like I should be doing something. But I’m a prepper and have my supplies sans an ice scraper; gave mine to sister cop since hers is somewhere in her squad car trunk underneath things like the rifle and riot gear
It’s only winter. The media hypes this up so much you would think this was the beginning of an ice age.

Gets below 30 or above 90 and we’re all going to die including the animals.

Oh, come on now. We all know it gets above 90 there….A LOT.

It gets below 30 a lot as well, always has but it doesn’t stop them from getting on my tv telling me we’re all going to die if we don’t stay inside.

I wuz gonna start off with “Mott The Hoople,” All The Young Dudes. Because their drummer croaked and I felt bad.
But then I went and re-listened to the song. Man, I didn’t like it then.
The End.

This is hysterical. !Jeb!, or whatever he calls himself, knows he ain’t got a snowball’s chance to win, and he’s dang sure gonna make it so that Marco don’t win either. An Oedipus complex in reverse, according to the article. Dum-bass has p*ssed away millions. Close to $20M. 😆 😆

What about all the idiots who gave him the money to p*ss away?

That’s their own stupid fault. I look at it like the idjits on the other side who spent gazillions of $$$ on morons like Wendy Davis here in TX. Go ahead. Spend some more. Won’t bother me much, but your kids might be honked off when they figure out how much of their inheritance you wasted. 😆

Trump just tweeted this nugget 😀
National Review just handed Donald Trump the Election
http://republicannewswatch.com/wp/?p=13982
National Review’s publication of the collective anti-Donald Trump missives from 22 self-appointed conservative potentates has caused quite a stir in Republican circles.
The nationwide responses range from, “Wait, I thought National Review went out of business years ago,” to “Ed Meese? Seriously?”
The Gang of 22 have officially become parodies of themselves. One would have to reach back to the days of Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew to lift an adequate quote to describe them.
“Nattering nabobs of negativism,” “vicars of vacillation,” “pusillanimous pussyfooters,” “the decadent few,” “ideological eunuchs,” “the effete corps of impudent snobs,” or “the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history” – take your pick, because they all apply about equally well to each and every one of them.

I find that funny because when I posted about their hit job on FB, I saw similar comments. The youngsters were asking what National Review was and the old folks were saying they didn’t even know they still existed.

Good practice. I figure once they cut stuff up and handle it, it will go bad so much quicker.

I freeze or can everything I can but some things like lettuce I have to buy in the winter.
I wash and rinse it well and never buy the bagged stuff.
