Why This D.C. Helicopter Route Has Worried Pilots for Years

An Army Black Hawk helicopter collided with an American Airlines plane in Washington D.C. near the Reagan National Airport, killing 67 people on Tuesday night. The plane crash happened in one of the U.S.’s most restricted air spaces.

BREAKING LIVE NOW: Plane crash near Philadelphia mall, multiple dead, explosions reported

This happened in a busy commercial area of Philadelphia during rush hour on a Friday. Plane parts hit several houses, businesses and cars, and set multiple ground fires, aggravated by damage to gas mains.

The plane was a Lear jet carrying a young patient and caregiver to a destination in Missouri. Six aboard the plane were killed. Possible injury to multiple people on the ground.
