Stellars….
For those Stellars who have suffered through an excessively hot summer, here are some cooled down images of the northernmost city in the world: Longyearbyen, located in Svalbard, Norway (pop. 2512) which is approximately 650 miles from the North Pole…

Good mornin’, Lucille! It’s been plenty warm in these parts, so that looks awfully enticing. But, coffee first! 😉

Good morning, Texan! Morning, noon or night it’s coffee first plus coffee cake with a dollop of coffee ice cream.

Morning Lucille, I may book a flight soon if we don’t get some relief. Yesterday we finally had a day just in the eighties. It broke a record streak of consecutive days nineties or higher here. And we are right back into it today.

Welp, I was wrong. Just read that we did indeed hit 90 yesterday, so the streak continues.

The only thing been saving me here is afternoon thunderstorms, bringing cold rain from on high. They cool down the afternoon, night and early morning. Middle of the day has been low to mid 90’s.

Good Sunday morning to you, Menagerie! Although the temperature here in the Idaho Panhandle hasn’t been horrible this summer, we’ve had just a couple days of light rain and everything is tinder dry.

Good mornin’, and happy Sunday! Making sure we’ve got plenty for everyone, so I’ve brought out the Sunday workhorse once again. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Another vile b!tch in politics…. wtf NC??

NC is bad now! Hard to believe, but I attribute it to too many universities and lots of northern money influencers in the eastern part of the state. If you read Matt Van Swol on X, Charlotte and Asheville are just cesspools now, lots of violence. We go into the mountains in WNC a lot. I’m never going near Asheville and a few other towns.

Another example of “it’s past time to be nice”. These people wish we were d*ad. I’m not amused.

Mmmm, notice her cross. Perhaps she needs to have a copy of the Ten Commandments on her wall with special emphasis on Exodus 20:16,
“You shall not testify falsely [that is, lie, withhold, or manipulate the truth] against your neighbor (any person).

Love my grandchildren! Best years of my life have been with them. They are smarter, cuter, and cooler than my kids were! I don’t remember what I did before they got here, but it must have been boring.
Yay for Uncle Sam, I love the binary reference, and I’ve always enjoyed cooking with my kids and grandkids. Good ones today.

Good morning, czarina! Lots of good things to choose from today. Love being a grandparent, Uncle Sam and peanuts. Every day is “hug your hound day”. Wouldn’t want to be bald. Wonder what National Arts in Education Week is all about. I remember being introduced to classical music in middle school, and fun art classes.

You were lucky. I knew none of my grandparents. Born too late.

Good day, Czarina! I remember both sets of grandparents with great affection and look forward to seeing them again.
For my family, Pet Memorial Day encompasses a lot of canines, felines, fish, newts and black and white domesticated rats. Precious, all of them.

I hug my little longhaired hound every day.
