11 Plants That Will Instantly Boost Your Curb Appeal In Fall
By Mary Marlowe Leverette – Updated on August 28, 2026
After a long, humid summer, containers and gardens can look tired. I love autumn with its (slightly) cooler temperatures, football weekends, changing colors, and opportunities for a garden refresh. I’ll leave the pumpkins, gourds, and scary Halloween decorations to you, but adding one or more of these plants will instantly boost the curb appeal of your home this fall.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday. On this somber day, let’s just make sure that we have our coffee and a hearty breakfast. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Normally, when a tragedy happens, the edges smooth out a little bit, and the hurt or anger subside somewhat. When I these pissant commies act and talk the way they do, it exposes the rawness once again…..to me, at least. I don’t get it. I’m not sure that I can dislike them any more than I do right now, but that remains to be seen. 😦

Definitely “Patriot Day.” That goes with the Day of Service and Remembrance.
Hot Cross buns sounds good.
I am going to wash my sheets so I will be making my bed when I am done.

So many heroic people on that day. This survivor says she had additional help. Gennelle: The last 9/11 Survivor Pulled From the Rubble

I was able to verify Genelle Guzman-McMillan was indeed the last person pulled alive from the Twin Towers on 9/11.
Her book is “Angel in the Rubble”.

A timely reminder. It’s another level of wicked. It’s been around for 4 to 5 years.
Voices are routinely recorded for customer service, personal voice messages are sometimes left on answering machines, These are “sound bites” that can be captured of a person’s voice. The examples are already linked to a phone number.
Phonemes based on those snippets (as little as 2 seconds now) can be digitally manipulated to duplicate a person’s voice. That voice is then manipulated through speech generation software and a new message can be created.
It is very important to have a code word, or to ask a specific question that only that person can answer.

Good morning, Stella,
From one of the comments:
From MooseM_007
The psychologist who debriefed KSM the 911 planner detained in Gitmo wrote that he admitted additional attacks were planned. Air hijackers were airborne. Apparently they landed and walked away. The original Bojinka plan on which this was based involved at least 11 aircraft.
So we really don’t know how many other lives he saved that day.

The man who planned Bojinka, and ran a trial from the Philippines, Ramzi Yousef, was apprehended in Pakistan in February, 1995.

Mornin’ All. Another storm came through last night. It was a doozy. Really loud. And, the thunder was boom, boom, boom. Nice. It is really pretty out this morning, bright and sunny.
Hope you all are safe and comfortable. 🙂

Twenty-five years after 9/11: how the attacks defined every president since
From the War on Terror to the conflict with Iran, the 9/11 attacks have shaped decades of U.S. foreign policy and presidents’s legacies.
By Steven Richards – Published: September 10, 2026 11:10pm
On that fateful day 25 years ago today, when Islamic terrorists used hijacked commercial airliners to strike at the heart of Western civilization and kill thousands, the skyline of New York City and America’s soul changed forever. The Sept. 11 attacks, the deadliest on United States soil in history, and their aftermath, have also essentially haunted every presidential administration since. And the echoes of those first post-9/11 months still shape the U.S. today.
President George W. Bush called out Iran for sponsoring terrorism in the wake of the attacks. And his successor 15 years later, Donald Trump, despite campaigning a third time for the White House on a message of “no new wars,” just this year launched an operation aimed at defanging the Islamic Republic’s military, destroying its nuclear program, or toppling the Mullah-led regime. His administration justified its action in part because of Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism.
President Joe Biden, known for years as one of the preeminent Democratic voices on foreign policy as a senator from Delaware, struggled during his 2021-2025 term to extricate his political fortunes from the botched and chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, first invaded by President Bush two decades prior for harboring the terrorists responsible for 9/11.
