Good mornin’, and happy Monday! Especially to those who have to labor today. I found an art deco model that I really like. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Afternoon, All. Had trouble getting to sleep last night, then slept in late and was awakened by a monsoon. Nice! It has been raining for the last hour, only not as hard. Loki went out into the rain and peed, but figures she can go poop later.

My son put up my new solar lights and they are almost perfect. They just need a slight adjustment in direction. I am even pleased with how bright they are.

    Enjoy your day.

Good day, aus! It was supposed to rain all day here, but it seems to have stopped. We need rain so badly.

AI says:  Idaho is currently experiencing significant drought conditions, with approximately 75% of the state affected as of September 1, 2026. This situation has led to serious impacts on water resources and agriculture across the region.

I figured it was going to rain here because yesterday I saw the weather report was stamped “Flood Watch.” It has rained all day, which is so unusual.

This brand is really expensive. Available on Amazon for as little as $10. Search smartphone handset.

It may have higher quality components.

It seems like it an easier way to handle long calls on a cell phone.

I’ll check it out, too, and see if I can find some specifications for comparison.

        Stella,

I’m seeing a limited-time price reduction to $32.00, good until midnight from the manufacturer.

You have to adjust the settings, but you can get a single handset for that price.

The reviews are good so far, but the guarantee is only for 30 days.

So vulnerable:’ Trump administration’s MAHA chiefs declare war on kids’ screen addiction

Parents are being given a toolkit to unplug their kids dubbed the 5 D’s: discuss, do, delay, divert and disconnect.

    By John Solomon – Published: September 6, 2026 10:16pm

Overweight, nearsighted, depressed and anxious. Many of America’s children are in the midst of a health crisis, and the Trump administration’s MAHA chiefs are declaring war on a primary cause: kids’ addiction to their tablet, phone and video screens.

“They are so vulnerable. So we had to sound the alarm, and here we are. We’re doing something about it,“ said Dr. Stephanie Hirodopoulos, the director of national health communications for the U.S. Surgeon General.
