Good morning, Lucille,
Is there a peach taco? ‘Cause I really like the idea of a peach, right now.
Maybe for dessert?

Good morning and afternoon, Reflection! Peach chutney would fit right in.

I had a fresh, ripe, Michigan peach sliced on cottage cheese for my breakfast this morning.

That would be “Good afternoon,” Lucille.
Slipped right out of the morning, with happy thoughts of “good news” and peaches!

Good mornin’, Lucille! Tacos looke really good this morning, and I’ve heard of some of those destinations, and others are new to me. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Good day to you, Texan! I checked with AI to discover what flavored coffee would be good with fish tacos. The suggestions are….
Choosing the right coffee flavor can enhance your fish taco experience.
I’ll bring the tacos if you’ll have the flavored coffees ready.

I’ll have to do some looking for those flavored coffees. As a reformed smoker, I’m still getting taste buds back on line after over 8 years of being smoke-free. 😉

Hi, Menagerie! Ran across this quote from St. Augustine today:
“As a lamp is not lighted by itself, so the human soul does not give light to itself but calls out to God: ‘You indeed, O Lord, give light to my lamp.’” – On Psalm 110, 2

Thank you, Lucille.
Nice reminder for these troubled days.
Trim the wick, light the lamp!

Yeah, like those rolls they bring out at a steakhouse. I either have to tell them not to bring it, or I’m eating it! Morning Wee!

How true. My mother would always scold my father and me about eating too many chips and we would still eat them all and ask for another bowl.

There’s always the “to go” containers.
It happens too easily when the rest of dinner is delayed.

Good mornin’, and happy Tuesday! We should be glad that Scott Bessent isn’t sending us any letters right now. Keeping with our theme of the day, I found this hand-painted model that you can actually get throught Amazon, and it’s from Spain, but fits in quite nicely with our tacos today. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee

Especially if you were left-handed. It’s a right-handed cup at best.
But, it is special!

Yay, coffee! Thanks T, good morning.
Am I the only one who notices the inverse ability to tolerate extreme temperatures, hot and cold, with increasing upward age numbers?
Forget winter hibernation, I’m hunkering down with my air conditioner.

I saw nothing positive about acne. I didn’t have it bad, but I knew a few people who did.
Waffles sounds great.
I’m all for preventing childhood injuries, but without smothering them to protect them.
Writing a letter is becoming a lost art.

Good day, Czarina! Being well programmed, handwritten letters are difficult but emails just flow. Perhaps that’s because editing is so easy and you don’t have to destroy a box of stationery before you get it right.
I thought the National Burnt Ends Day had to do with…
…but it’s actually about brisket????

I use E-Mail and text. I still appreciate handwritten letters. But I’ve learned, as you have Lucille, to be careful not to waste expensive stationery, by making a rough copy on less expensive paper.
We can still read letters from centuries ago. Maybe, that’s why they are attempting to eliminate the skills to read and produce them.
Unless they are printed out, computer generated messages and cell-phone texts can easily be lost.
The best of letters are a lasting, hand-held, treasure.

Destroy a box of stationery? I thought I was the only one who did that.

Mornin’ All. Very cool, about 53* and sunny out this morning. It isn’t supposed to get over 70* in the next week. Guess I will be pulling out the flannel sheets. I might not need them for a while, but you never know. Also, we are supposed to be getting rain most days. We’ll see.
My DIL’s birthday was yesterday. Her 9 yr old daughter loves to make her own presents. So, she painted a picture and cut it up into fairly small pieces as a puzzle. And, she made a birthday card. I think that is so sweet.
Well, stay safe and have an enjoyable day.

“Democrats grapple with candidate 9/11 controversies as anniversary approaches
By Steven Richards – August 31, 2026
“Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is facing scrutiny over his association with a prominent left-wing streamer who said America “deserved” 9/11. But, El-Sayed is not the first Democrat to generate controversy over the terrorist attack.”

Stephen Miller hits the nail directly on the head!
TRANSLATION:
CNN: “This is an undocumented immigrant…”
Miller: “They were here ILLEGALLY?”
CNN: “I want this to be a good-faith discussion…”
Miller: “When you use language designed to obscure the truth, that’s NOT good faith. An ILLEGAL ALIEN is an ILLEGAL ALIEN. They’re not ‘undocumented immigrants’.”
CNN: “Stephen, we’re trying to humanize the debate…”
Miller: “Humanize? Then let’s humanize the Penal Code too. The bank robber becomes a ‘specialist in unscheduled withdrawals’. The con artist turns into an ‘entrepreneur of alternative financial narratives’. The guy who breaks into your house uninvited is just a ‘visitor with pending documentation’. How about that?”
CNN: “That’s a crude analogy.”
Miller: “Crude is pretending federal law vanishes because CNN’s copy desk cooked up a cuddlier euphemism. ‘Undocumented’ sounds like someone who forgot their wallet in an Uber. No. It’s someone who crossed the border without authorization, stayed, and now the press treats the legal statute like it’s a matter of writing style.”
CNN: “But many contribute to the economy…”
Miller: “Ah, the classic argument: crime stops being crime if the person washes dishes or builds roofs. By the same token, the cigarette smuggler ‘contributes’ too, creates jobs in transport. Want us to call him an ‘informal logistics entrepreneur’? Would CNN go for that?”
CNN: “You’re polarizing.”
Miller: “No. I’m rejecting the marketing dictionary. You change the word, then accuse anyone who uses the legal term of being ‘inhumane’. It’s the oldest trick in the book: first soften the vocabulary, then declare moral victory. The United States is tired of this theater. Call it what it is. Or admit the goal was never clarity—it was narrative control.”
