Good mornin’, and happy Tuesday! It was time to pair up our coffee pot with the day, so I found one from my neighbors across the river. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Anyone else see Jesse’s “interview” with el Sayed last night? There seems to be a pattern when these mooslims/DSA go on with a conservative. Start out nice and agreeable……act indignant at about the 2nd question…….start to talk over the host……and when the go to a new question…….stop and go back to the last question…..an annoying filibuster when you see the pattern. I saw it the first time with one of the DSA guys from FL. Anyone else?

I did – did you notice the commie talking faster and louder as it went on? (The old ‘they’re not listening to us’ solution, I guess…)

Those “interviews” are tiring. almost as tiring as……on the advice of counsel………
It might help if Jesse were a bit stronger in his questioning. He’s still trying to be nice and hoping that his guests will be as well.

I think that is to drown out anything truthful the host is saying. And, to act like they are in control.

And they do it with an arrogance and smugness that makes me want to smack the daylights out of them. 👿

Ah, banana splits, they are so good. It’s been many years since I had one.
A lady at our church wears clothes from her mother and aunt. They are mostly from the 50’s and early 60’s. She always looks so nice and put together. She has the hats, gloves, and shoes to go with them.
Be Kind to Humankind is a nice one.

Mornin’ All. Cool but sunny this morning. Really nice out.
Granddaughters are coming on to work on their doll dresses this afternoon. They are hoping to finish them by the next time so they can go on to making their own dresses. They are already dreaming of wearing them to Church. It has been fun working with them.
Well, hope you all have a good day.

Mornin’ mom! You are doing such a good thing by teaching your grandchildren to sew. Most kids can’t/don’t, including my own child. My fault entirely, and it is such a valuable skill.

I am loving doing it.
The youngest is turn 6 tomorrow. She has decided, on her own, that once she is 6 she will be big enough to sew on the sewing machine. She has been doing hers all by hand.

They must learn by hand FIRST. Good job! Afternoon Mom!

Good explanation:
The new mail-in ballot procedure isn’t something to be afraid of. It works like this:
1. The state provides a list of the ballots they intend to mail out.
2. USPS assigns a unique barcode to each.
3. When the ballot is mailed out, this barcode is scanned to ensure uniqueness and that it matches. If there is no match or it’s a duplicate, it is not delivered.
4. When the voter mails the ballot back, the USPS scans it again and checks to make sure it matches what went out and isn’t a duplicate. Any ballots that don’t match won’t be delivered.
5. This is all done on the exterior envelope. The USPS isn’t determining eligibility or deciding who gets a ballot. They can’t see the actual votes. They are essentially just ensuring there are no duplicates, that the number mailed in isn’t greater than the number mailed out, and that the person mailing one in was the same person who received them.
This is a common sense solution and is completely reasonable.
Why would anyone oppose it unless their intention is to cheat?

One of my favorite things she said was to Julia Roberts who was known to complain about everything.
Dolly Parton shared some words of wisdom on the set of the 1989
filmSteel Magnolias with Julia Roberts that left a lasting impact on the Oscar-winning actress.
The cast sat down with Oprah Winfrey on her daytime talk show for an interview to promote the film. It was there that Roberts discussed Parton’s impact on her life.
Roberts reflected on her time on the film’s Natchitoches, Louisiana, set. The temperature during filming reached over 100 degrees, which was challenging during some of the outdoor scenes when the cast had to wear heavier clothing.
She explained, “Everybody had ice on their wrists doing the whole thing. Everybody was like, it’s hot, could I get some water? And Dolly never said anything.”
“And I finally, I just had to say, ‘Dolly, you’ve got a wig, and the wool, I mean, c’mon. It’s hot, sweat a little. Just say, I’m hot, you know? This is a drag.’”
Roberts continued, “And she said, I remember we were sitting on the porch, and she said to me, ‘When I was a little girl, I wanted to be famous, and I wanted to be rich, and now I’m both of these things, I’m not going to complain about it.’”
The actor concluded, “And I thought, ‘Okay, I’m going to be quiet for the rest of the day.’ I’ve never forgotten it. And every time I go to complain, or just kind of moan, I always hear Dolly sitting on the porch and saying that, and it kinda keeps you quiet.”
Parton’s Steel Magnolias stand-in, Jacqueline Horton, echoed Roberts’ assessment of the kindness of the country superstar and the oppressive Louisiana heat. Horton explained, “It was approaching 100 degrees some days.”
She added, “The non-Southerners were floored by how sticky and hot it was, but not Dolly. She’d have on all these heavy clothes, and I never heard her complain. And I never saw a drop of sweat either!”
Julia Roberts and Dolly Parton have not worked together on any other films or major projects since the 1989 film Steel Magnolias. Other cast members included Sally Field, Olympia Dukakis, Daryl Hannah, and Shirley MacLaine.About The Author
