    Good mornin’ and happy Sunday! Must be something big happening today, as I was awakened at 4:30 in the a.m. and here I is. Brought out the war horse today, so there will be plenty of coffee early and as late as you want. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

    Black Ribbon Day – remembrance of Stalinism and Nazism victims

    And it’s still a national Wellness Month, National Dog Month and National Back to School Month

    Mornin’ All. It cooled off a mite and now we are having a t-storm, a real one, right over us. It is raining like the dickens. I doubt it will last long, but at least we are getting a little rain. LOL. It just quit. Didn’t last long, but maybe more will come.

    Getting ready for church. Maybe I can get there between rains.

      We had a huge thunderstorm with 50 mph winds on Friday. Two inches of rain really helped my lawn, which I had been having to water every day due to drought and heat.

      Started off to work yesterday but was blocked at the end of my driveway by a downed oak tree. Called my brother and some neighbors to bring chain saws and take it out, and I was on my way in an hour. My brother called it the Mississippi Emergency Response Network: neighbors show up when needed.
