Good mornin’, Lucille! What I always marvel at is how those old cathedral’s and churches were built so tall and huge so many years ago. They had no OSHA to make sure they were safe. 😉
Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

And, yet, they have survived all these years…….except for the attacks from the Muslims.

Good morning, Texan! And the workers learned everything by apprenticing with masters. Here’s your perhaps “learn something new every day” info for this Sunday from the Society of Architectural Historians in Chicago….
MEDIEVAL MASONS AND GOTHIC CATHEDRALS
Posted on July 18, 2017 by ‘Deyemi Akande, 2016 H. Allen Brooks Travelling Fellow
Details of the cathedral tower in Frankfurt. A clear example of the beauty and intricacy of a mason’s work.

The photo of the Frankfurt Cathedral’s incredible exterior masonry doesn’t show up on my screen; so it may be copyright protected. It’s in the article.

Good mornin’, Menage! Those look delicious. Very similar to the fritatta that Mrs. T makes me every week! I like the variety though! Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

You know what I hate most? Parking. I’m not messing with that scan crap and putting in a credit card. If I can’t put the danged quarters in just write me a ticket. I might just not pay all of them, go to court and ask them why I’m there when the four time murderer in the next court room just walked out free.
Y’all can send me care packages on death row, I’m sure.

Good mornin’, Miss Wee! I remember when those first came out and I thought they were annoying. We just didn’t know what was coming after, and now it’s not nearly as bad as what came later. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Good mornin’, czarina. That’s quite a packed list there. Several stand out. For sure, Elvis, and probably the bratwurst, but we never want to leave the Airborne fella’s out of any celebration. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Pass on the roller coaster.
Definitely a yes on the Rum.
And, a yes on the jokes. Kids especially like these.
Still miss Czar’s stories.

Good day, Carina! I’ll take National Airborne Day. This video is in praise of “Wings” released in 1927…99 years ago on August 12th! It was the first film to win the Best Picture Oscar which was given out several years later in 1929 at the very first Academy Awards dinner and presentation held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel which still stands across the street from the Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. All the winners had already been notified; so it wasn’t a surprise.

Plus “take” care, too. Honestly, I’ve had a new keyboard awaiting installation for weeks but just can’t get around to it. But if I intend to have few to none of typos, perhaps I’d better get on it. Yes, I’m blaming typos on an ailing keyboard…trying to get it to fess up, though, is the challenge.

Just saw this quote, and I love it.
Lighting someone else’s candle doesn’t take away from your own light. And dimming someone else’s light doesn’t make your light shine any brighter.
The more light that shines, the brighter the room becomes.
