    Buster performed his own stunts…pretty incredible….

    Buster Keaton performs a stunt where he grabs onto the rope of a railroad water tower and is struck by a powerful torrent of water in the silent film “Sherlock Jr.”, 1924. The force of the water threw Keaton to the ground and fractured his neck, although he did not discover the injury until years later.

    It has been a fairly quiet week in DC until the end of the week and our Favorite Sunday Columnist points out that the idiots in the DC courts have not finished with their stupid decisions. Grab some coffee and sit a spell.

    I’ve talked a lot about how much I love where I live. How about this y’all? Isn’t she a beautiful lady, my city and her setting? I’ve enjoyed almost all the places in this video so many times. Even performed my ballet and tap recitals many times, as a child on the old Tivoli theatre stage. A city trapped between the mountains and split by the river. Makes for gosh awful traffic, but what scenery we have.

      Good day, aus! We’re at 87 right now but I don’t need air conditioning on as it somehow stayed nighttime cool in the apartment. Matter of fact, I have to use a throw draped around me while sitting at my computer so I don’t feel cold.

      Growing up we never had air conditioning at home, just large fans. Our church had a big sanctuary with really high ceilings and I honestly don’t ever remember air conditioning. And rather than pews, we had nice overstuffed theater seats.
