Good mornin’, and happy Friday eve! Up late and figured I better get the coffee going before the natives get restless. Here’s one of my favorites for an office…..in case any of you still might have to go to one. Hopefully not, but it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if I saw this in my doctor or dentist’s office! Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Quick update on my daughter and her family in the Spokane area – they are safe and their home escaped damage……so far. They have allowed them to return home. Wonderful news and thanks for all your prayers.

It’s only because we’re adding to the brain shelf and when it’s overloaded, something slips off.
The brain’s supposed to file it at night, but if we don’t get enough sleep, then the shelf remains overloaded and oopsie!

Good day, Czarina! YES, to root beer floats. One day in the mid-1950s little town where we lived, A&W Root Beer bought the vacant lot next to my family home. A large parking lot was included. As special treats when some family member would give us birthday or holiday money, we would go over there and get a frosty one. We would also get to check out the couples in their cars to see who was dating who…LOL!

Afternoon All. I slept in really late this morning.
Just about dusk last night I heard a very loud bang that sounded like it was in my kitchen. I checked it out and have no idea what it was. It was so loud it sounded like you had an iron skillet in your hand and slammed it into the table. I wondered if a limb fell off a tree and hit the roof. I can’t see that side of the roof, though. Weird.

You can always alert management if you think it might have been roof damage, they can check.
Sound travels oddly at times, and loud bangs of unknown origin can be disquieting, No wonder you slept late.
A newspaper person once hit our door early in the morning with such a bang that it was startling, and the sound’s source was difficult to locate. That edition of the newspaper was quite large, so it must have been thrown with extra gusto!
