    Chiusa (Klausen) changed hands numerous times over the centuries. This is a rather odd but fun video about South Tyrol and its convoluted history (the channel proprietor has quite a heavy accent; so you might turn on closed captions).

        I love that Pacquiao is so vocal, fearless really. A great role model for the youth (and most everyone else) in the Philippines.

      Morning, czarina! Ice cream again, of course, along with some of that tropical fruit. Had fresh pineapple with a yogurt/cottage cheese combo for breakfast.

      Good day, Czarina! I’ll take a 1946 Ford Woodie Wagon, please. Wow, just to drive around in this one….

      Sorry, when I think of Nelson Mandela I don’t think of him politically like the UN wants us to. Instead I think of the June 11th, 1988 greatest rock concert in history at Wembley Stadium in honor of his 70th birthday (which I taped on VHS and kept for years) and this fabulous Eric Clapton/Dire Straits collaboration on WONDERFUL TONIGHT…

      Has any other man ever worn a Giorgio Armani suit with more presence than Eric? I don’t think so!!

    Mornin’ All. It is 72*, heading to 90*. It is sunny and mostly clear blue skies for now. We had a chance for rain yesterday evening, but it never happened.

    My granddaughters had a birthday party for both the older ones. Their birthdays are a day apart. They have two separate parties and cakes, but had one family party together last night. My two year old grandson stayed pretty busy playing at his new, bought at a garage sale, little workbench that is just his size. He was playing with a small socket set, a real one, and was totally engrossed in it. I couldn’t imagine him sitting there for about an hour. My son says he is very interested when he sees his dad working on the truck or fixing anything.

    Well, try to protect yourselves from the smoke and heat.

    A federal court has declined, for now, to block a U.S. Postal Service rule tied to President Donald Trump’s executive order on election administration, allowing the policy to remain in place while legal challenges continue.

    The ruling clears the way for the USPS to move forward with rules that force states to submit their voter rolls for citizenship checks if they expect the Postal Service to deliver mail-in and absentee ballots for the November midterms.
