This Wild Sea Otter Has Better Vacation Plans Than Us

This is Dennis the famous sea otter from Vancouver Island who seems to think kayaks are made for him. This time, he came right to shore, climbed onto the back of a kayak, relaxed like a tiny passenger, and when the ride was over… he simply swam back to sea. Some otters hunt. Dennis prefers kayak service.

Good mornin’, Miss Wee! I can work with this. I’m not triggered when there are a group of people who look like me! Coffee’s ready, ma’am. 😉

My child and some friends have been going to The Stockyards to people watch while the games have been on and said that they had the most fun with the Norwegians and the Brits! (Brits all showed up in bowling shirts, of all things – twas hilarious!)

Roald Amundsen became my favorite Norwegian after viewing the 1985 mini-series “The Last Place On Earth” about the race to the South Pole between Norwegian Amundsen (played by Sverre Anker Ousdal)  and Englishman Robert Scott (played by Martin Shaw), which you’ve likely seen. If not, rent the video. It is fabulous.

Good mornin’, and happy hump day!. Since it looks like we might be busy for a few day over across the oceans and deserts, I thought we might need something a little stronger than regular this morning. I found a fancy machine that spits out the hi-test version. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Good morning everyone. I hope you’re enjoying a little cooler weather than we are. I think we all envy aus right now!

Thank you all for prayers for my son. He’s stable at home now, pain level hasn’t really gotten better, but he’s managing it with only minimal use of his prescription drugs, at night. Moving around a lot, and getting an appetite back.

Also, to his delight, his taste for coffee came back today! I’m not sure that’s a good thing? But he missed it.

He lives less than an hour from Nashville, so we’ll be going back up for several days tomorrow.

Good day to you, Menagerie, and to your son. His already being at home is very heartening. Praise be to our Lord for answering our prayers affirmatively. I always figure that we might as well ask for miracles and so I’ll continue in that vein.

St. Augustine’s Insights on Prayer and Divine Response

St. Augustine’s teachings provide profound insights into prayer and God’s responses.

      • Nature of Prayer — Augustine taught that the desire of our hearts is our prayer to God, even before words are spoken.
      • God’s Readiness — He believed God is always prepared to give spiritual light, but we must be open to receiving it.
      • Sincerity Over Ambition — Augustine noted that God does not heed the ambitiousness of our prayers; rather, He values genuine intent.
      • Personal Reflection — Augustine’s own prayers reflected his struggles and desires, illustrating a personal connection with God.

Mornin’ All. It is about 65* right now and very pleasant. I got sprinkled on just a little when I took Loki out. I am not sure where it came from, there were only a few little white clouds in the sky. I woke up to a loud rumble and the house shaking this morning. I think it was thunder, but for a few seconds, I was afraid it might be an earthquake. Since then, it is rumbled a few more times. It is thunder. The power went off, but came right back on.

Hope it cools off where you are. Enjoy the day.

This is an interesting story, particularly if you have followed what has been going on with Candace Owens.
