Back in the day (late 1800s maybe?) many bars were below ground, in basements, etc. think Cheers I guess. They used to be pretty disreputable. Now it’s a casual, maybe blue collar place. No frills, plain drinks. Shabby and often frequented by local regulars.

Dive bar food might consist of such delicacies as pickled pig’s feet, pickled eggs, stale popcorn with “pepper” salt. Then they will have a real jukebox and busted up pool table in the back. There’s at least one guy at the bar who got there in about 1967, and he’s only got one good eye. Or so I’ve heard.

SMH! Sorry to say that Scott Jennings has gone down in my estimation. Not that a person shouldn’t be kind to an elder who is ailing, but to hold a person like McConnell in such high esteem makes me question a person’s discernment. Does Jennings feel the same about Mrs. McConnell who just met with the CCP to get her ducks all in a row apparently?

I think Scott’s purpose was to cease the speculation and save some from looking like fools over this. Nothing more, nothing less. And it is possible to have kind personal feelings for someone without agreeing with everything they do and say.

I just looked it up and, yes, he worked on McConnell’s campaigns.

There are conspiracy theories going around now that Jennings, Barasso and Thune are all lying about McConnell’s condition. If it turns out to be true, then I will apologize for sticking up for Scott. The fact is that we just don’t know, and I would rather wait and see.

Horrible and gruesome as it is, it needs to be shown and said.
Along with the stories of some of the escapes from those man-made hells.
Cuba had a nationwide blackout on Monday, a complete grid failure. It’s the third one this year for the country of 10 million people.
