National Fudge Day – Only one national day but it is a good one!

    Universal Fathers’ Week

    World Sea Turtle Day

    Day of the African Child

Bloomsday – for anyone who read the book. Or maybe for those of us who didn’t…

Morning czarina! Fudge – but only if it’s homemade Hershey’s fudge, like my mother made.

I’m going to find that recipe.

Homemade fudge is such a treat when it’s made by a skilled fudge maker.

I warn you – it seems like a simple recipe, but not simple to execute correctly. Mine is either hard as a rock, or runny. Getting the temp right isn’t easy. My mother got it right every time, and I don’t know how she did it.

I love fudge, all kinds, chocolate, peanut butter, and whatever.

Kudos for Universal Father’s Week. I am seeing so much support for fathers on YouTube videos.

      Pray for the African children.

I don’t know what Bloomsday is. I have never read it.

Bloomsday is the annual literary celebration of James Joyce’s 1922 modernist masterpiece, Ulysses. Observed every June 16th, the date marks the exact day in 1904 when the entire novel is set, chronicling an ordinary day in the life of its protagonist, Leopold Bloom.

The book is known to be virtually unreadable.

I read a small amount of a James Joyce book once and bailed on it. Long time ago.

I am currently reading Cannery Row by Steinbeck, and really enjoying it. That man can write. We don’t have voices like that now! I don’t know how I missed it before.

Good afternoon All. We are in the middle of June and it has warmed up a mite. Actually a pretty nice day. I was talking to a yardman who said he has been here 20 years and this is the wettest weather he has ever seen here. It is kinda smelling like it might want to rain here soon.

    Hope you enjoy your day.
