Good mornin’, and happy hump day. Well, things look good in Cali, but I guess we’ll have to wait for another month or two before they finalize the vote totals, so there’s that. I don’t know where this is, but it’s big, and sometimes, that’s all you need. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

National Repeat Day – an opportunity or a bad omen?

National Egg Day – the versatile egg!

National Chocolate Macaroon Day – coconut and chocolate

    National Play Catch Week

    World Bicycle Day

    World Clubfoot Day

Chimborazo Day – Chimborazo is the highest mountain in Ecuador. This huge mountain measures 20,000 feet, which is which is more than 29,000 feet less than Mount Everest. While Chimborazo is technically not the highest mountain in the world, it is the highest point on earth. How can this be? It all depends on how the mountains are measured. Chimborazo is located on the Earth’s bulge at the equator. Because this mountain is measured from Earth’s center, instead of sea level, it is the closest point to the moon.

Morning czarina. World Clubfoot Day is on the birthday of the man who developed the gold standard treatment for it, which I benefited from. Both my feet were turned completely backward when I was born. I went to school with a girl who did not have the treatment, and I’ve always been grateful for it.

The Ponseti Method: Developed by Dr. Ignacio Ponseti at the University of Iowa, this treatment features gentle manipulation, casting, and temporary bracing. When started early and properly applied, it is nearly 100 percent effective.

Does that cause you problems now? How great that you got the treatment to correct it.

No, and I went back to the doctor who treated me as an infant when I was 19. He spent a lot of time questioning me about my abilities. He was stunned and thrilled to hear that I spent years taking ballet, and was eventually able to make it into toe ballet classes.

            Good afternoon, Menagerie,

How very special that you were able to see the very doctor who treated you. It’s not often that a physician can see the results of their handiwork nearly twenty years later.

It must have been immensely gratifying for him and you! Even with the best of intentions its not always possible to say “thank you” to someone who has made a significant, positive impact on your life.

      Eggs every day.

I don’t know if I have ever had chocolate Macaroons. I imagine I would really like them.

That is very interesting about Chimborazo. I had never heard that before.

Good Mornin’ All. It is 54* and sunny. No more rain expected until tomorrow afternoon. Really pretty out. I have never in my whole life seen a June this cool, which is great, but amazing to me.

Hope you all have a nice day.

I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 60 years later. I don’t have to go to school or work. I get an allowance every month. I have my own pad. I don’t have a curfew. I have a driver’s license and my own car. The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant and I don’t have acne.

Life is great. I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds. People get out of the way much faster now.

Gone are the days when girls used to cook like their mothers. Now they drink like their fathers.

I didn’t make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.

I decided to stop calling the bathroom “John” and renamed it the “Jim”. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

When I was a child I thought “nap time” was a punishment. Now it feels like a small vacation.

The biggest lie I tell myself is… ” I don’t have to write that down, I’ll remember it”.

If God wanted me to touch my toes, He would’ve put them on my knees.

Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven’t met yet.

Why do I have to press one for English when you’re just going to transfer me to someone I can’t understand anyway?

Of course, I talk to myself. Sometimes I need expert advice.

At my age “Getting Lucky” means walking into a room and remembering what I came In there for.
