25 Easy Evergreen Shrubs For Foundation Planting That Look Good Year-Round

By Melissa Locker – Published on May 01, 2026

Come winter most gardens are a little past their prime, looking brown, wilted, and maybe a little sad. That doesn’t have to be the case, though. Gardeners who plan ahead and plant evergreens can have gorgeous, verdant gardens year-round. Plant them as foundation plants, in borders, or anywhere you want to add curb appeal. Most evergreens are pretty easy to care for once established.

Good mornin’, czarina. I’ll have to go with the juleps as well. Coffee’s ready whenever you are, ma’am.

I will have a mint Julep. But, don’t put it in my bucket because it might have a hole in it.

A reminder to water the plant that my kids gave me for Mother’s Day.

Good day to you, Czarina! Watering flowers with a bucket that has a hole is probably not the best idea and may be the result of too many mint juleps. Mr. Loomas was certainly a very creative man.

Multiple Sclerosis is no joke and so I’ll just say many prayers for those who are so afflicted. An AI report on the research being done….

Yes, several research hospitals are actively working on a cure for multiple sclerosis (MS).

      Key Institutions

      • Mayo Clinic: The Center for Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Neurology is leading advancements in MS treatment through innovative research.
      • UCSF: Researchers have demonstrated that the over-the-counter allergy drug clemastine can repair myelin in the brain, which is crucial for MS treatment.
      • International Research Teams: Recently, a team secured funding to advance regenerative therapy for MS, moving closer to clinical testing.

      Collaborative Efforts

      • The National MS Society has developed a roadmap involving experts and patients from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. to find a cure.
      • Ongoing studies are also focusing on new disease-modifying therapies to improve patient outcomes
