    The original voice of Kermit the Frog was created and performed by Jim Henson. Henson voiced Kermit from the character’s earliest television appearances in the 1950s through the peak of The Muppet Show in the 1970s and 80s. His calm, slightly nasal delivery and gentle personality made Kermit instantly recognizable around the world. 

    After Henson passed away in 1990, the role was taken over by Steve Whitmire, who voiced Kermit for nearly three decades. Today, the character is performed by Matt Vogel. Kermit’s voice remains one of the most iconic and comforting sounds in television history.

    Good mornin’, and happy Saturday! I’m up when I don’t want to be, but that’s not really news. One of my favorite campfire coffee pots. This big boy holds 3.5 gallons, so it will take care of us for awhile. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

    Mornin’ All. A beautiful sunny again here. In fact, you need good sunglasses if you are outside.

    Winter is over. I got my snow tires changed yesterday. Didn’t figure I would need them for a while. Now I have a coolant leak in my car. I am pretty sure it is from the heater in the cab. But, I think I am looking at a major cost. Glad I got all last year’s bills paid off. (sigh)

    Hope you all can stay safe and well. Enjoy the day.

      Good day, aus! A quote from the article is my reaction, too, though I did know about the low salaries:

      “I had no idea that the military did not provide transportation home for enlisted personnel, and I was unaware how little they were paid and what a hardship it was for so many of them to go for years without being able to afford to see their families,” Rehnert told The Center Square.
