Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent addresses the price fluctuations in gas and oil and lays out the strategy behind the release of the Iranian oil at sea.

    Good morning, Stella,

If WP does not post the comment from Secretary Bessent, then this link should give access. Tried something new. Apology in advance if it does not work.

Glorious, warm, sunny, clear days, just a little too cold in the mornings. Hello spring.

National Quilting Day – is Aus the only one of us who quilts?

National Countdown Day – start a countdown to just about anything. Around the office, we countdown to the next celebration every day! It is also a day to consider past and present countdowns of significance.

    National Corn Dog Day

National French Bread Day – the French bread in NO is different from in France

National California Strawberry Day – also getting them from Florida and Louisiana

National Fragrance Day – I stopped wearing perfume in the 70’s

    National Single Parent Day

National Common Courtesy Day – still intact in small towns, less so in big cities

National Memory Day – at my age, I have to work on keeping it functional every day

Speaking of quilts, the best one I ever made, because of what it means, is the one I made from my daughter’s wedding. Instead of a regular guest book, I made a book with fabric rectangles that we had the guests sign with fabric pens. Some included drawings, or poems, and it was really fun.

It is also very sentimental, as there are squares decorated by my mother, my SIL’s mother, and my aunt, and others who are no longer alive.

I took those fabric pieces and rendered the ink permanent, then included them into rail fence blocks. The center of the quilt is an embroidered version of the design from their wedding program, which my son-in-law designed (he’s a graphic artist).

Today is their 29th wedding anniversary (doesn’t seem possible!) and they recently started using the quilt on their bed as a regular thing, which I love. Here is a pic of that quilt top before it was quilted. I did that myself, by machine. I finished the quilt on their 2nd wedding anniversary.

    Morning All 🙂

Thought I’d check in here & on Caturday while waiting for Amazon to deliver plumbers tape (LATE) so can install new shower head & filter delivered this morning. (Say a little prayer for me please – I got old ones off, so I really hope I can get new ones on so I can take a shower today!!!)

Pretty picture Lucille as usual 🙂 & that’s a good use of one of those fundraisers,

lots of laughs today – THANKS!,

love that red graniteware coffee pot – I have some of the brown graniteware from before they moved production to Mexico & now just make big lobster pots (last time I checked). They are my favorite pans to use. Wish I could find more pieces not beaten up – especially the small muffin pan.

I also stopped using perfume years ago – does not mix with allergies & some asthma,

chicken fried bacon, corn dogs & cinnamon roll-ups YES! 😄

Common Courtesy should be every day – it increased when we left last state & moved here.

Am also not good with using computers.

So many nice things today 😄 Sorry if I missed anyone.

Half of yard is still snow – which is OK with me – just would have preferred it all went away at once to reduce time under snow allergens blossoming. I am a cold weather person by necessity (less allergens)

Here are a couple of cute cat pics related to flowers, spring, & the gift of 250 more cherry trees to the USA from Japan

Want to see what happens when you defraud your state and the Feds in another M state? Missouri instead of Minnesota. 16 years……that will get your attention.

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller has passed away. There is an a distinct difference in the reporting on his death.

    https://apnews.com/article/robert-mueller-fbi-director-trump-russia-investigation-7aca939dc25d4652815376f73e0f9aaf

The second report is far less complimentary and included the first visceral reaction of President Trump to Mueller’s death. (Grandma’s rules did not apply.)
