Good mornin’, and happy Saturday! I haven’t turned on the news just yet, but there seemed to be a lot going on before I hit the rack last night. We deserve something shiny! Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

How does the same slimeball judge get every single significant case in the DC court? It’s not statistically possible for that to happen?

Mornin’ All. It is beautiful out here today. We got several more inches of snow and it is still coming down. Loki is not too happy about it since it comes all the way up to her belly now and makes clumps on her long fur on her legs. It didn’t take much encouragement to get her back inside. LOL. It is 30* and only going down more today.

    Enjoy your day.

Hi Mom, Sorry your pup does not like the snow, Some crazy little pups like it, even though they basically get stuck in it! Hope you both have a great day anyway. 😉

      Hi All 😀

      Hope everyone is doing well.

      Beautiful image up top Stella!

Today we have the scarlet ibis which can have striking red colored feathers. The 2 images below show the variation in color due to diet or age.

The brilliant red color of the scarlet ibis is due to carotenoid pigments, specifically astaxanthin, found in the red crustaceans they eat, such as shrimp, crabs, and other small aquatic invertebrates.  These pigments are absorbed from their diet and deposited into their feathers during molting, gradually transforming juvenile grey-brown plumage into the striking scarlet hue. The more carotenoid-rich their diet, the deeper and more vibrant the red color becomes. This process takes about two years to complete, beginning with the second moult.  In captivity, without access to these pigmented foods, their color can fade to pale pink or orange. AI-generated answer. Please verify critical facts.

I asked over on caturday if there are any specific words when searching for images that are NOT ai faked. It took me a long time to find the kitten images. It’s just awful how many are so obviously fake. If anyone has figured out the magic words, please let me know. Thanks! 😉

Well, it’s cooled off here thankfully. I’ve got this coming week to run around getting stuff accomplished before it warms up again with all those spring allergies popping out.

      Take care all 😀
