Dear Fellow Americans,

Let me walk you through the most delicious irony in modern politics. The party that won’t shut up about “saving democracy” has spent the last decade systematically undermining every democratic process they can get their hands on.

 

1. DEMOCRATIC vs DEMOCRACY: WORDS MATTER

First, let’s get something straight because apparently your teachers failed you. There’s a difference between “democratic” (an adjective describing representative processes) and “democracy” (a noun describing direct majority rule).

America is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. Not a democracy. The Constitution mentions “democracy” exactly ZERO times. Article IV, Section 4 guarantees every state a “Republican Form of Government.” Madison warned in Federalist No. 10 that “democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention… as short in their lives as violent in their deaths.” Hamilton celebrated “legislative balances and checks” in Federalist No. 9 as safeguards against tyranny. John Adams observed in 1814 that “Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself.”

The Electoral College, Senate structure, and judicial review exist SPECIFICALLY to prevent pure majority rule. You know, that thing Democrats keep trying to abolish.

2. DEMOCRATS HAVEN’T USED DEMOCRATIC PROCESSES FOR PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATIONS SINCE 2012

Let’s talk about how Democrats select their own candidates. First, there’s the SUPERDELEGATE system, which is the most anti-democratic mechanism imaginable. These are party elites, lobbyists, and insiders who get votes that count MORE than regular voters. In 2016, Hillary Clinton had 400+ superdelegates committed to her BEFORE A SINGLE PRIMARY VOTE WAS CAST. The media reported her insurmountable delegate lead from day one, suppressing enthusiasm for alternatives. Regular Democratic voters were essentially told their votes didn’t matter because the party elite had already decided.

In 2016, the DNC actively sabotaged Bernie Sanders through leaked emails showing they were tipping the scales for Hillary Clinton. The DNC was supposed to be neutral, but Donna Brazile admitted she fed debate questions to Clinton in advance. Remember Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigning in disgrace? The superdelegates made the primary a foregone conclusion before voters even showed up.

In 2020, Biden was LOSING badly until every moderate candidate mysteriously dropped out simultaneously before Super Tuesday in a coordinated effort to stop Bernie. Not exactly organic democracy. The superdelegate system was slightly reformed after 2016 backlash, but they still exist as a fail-safe for when voters choose “wrong.”

But 2024 takes the cake. Kamala Harris became the nominee without receiving A SINGLE PRIMARY VOTE for the presidency. Biden withdrew, and the party coronated Harris immediately. No debates. No primaries. No democratic process whatsoever. As Biden’s own vetting documents revealed, Harris wasn’t chosen for competence but because she fit certain demographic boxes. Biden literally said at the South Carolina debate he would pick a Black woman as VP, not the most qualified person.

She dropped out of the 2020 primary BEFORE Iowa because she couldn’t even get support from her own party’s voters. Now she’s the nominee without earning a single vote? That’s not democratic, it’s a coronation.

3. DEMOCRATS HELD THE GOVERNMENT HOSTAGE TO FIX THEIR OWN MESS

Let’s talk about the 43-day government shutdown. Democrats voted 14 TIMES to reject clean CRs that would have reopened the government. They held 42 million SNAP recipients hostage, active-duty military, air traffic controllers, and TSA agents because they wanted $1.5 trillion in ACA subsidy extensions.

Here’s the beautiful irony: those COVID subsidies the Democrats are demanding? THEY VOTED TO MAKE THEM TEMPORARY in the first place through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Not a single Republican voted for those bills. Democrats designed the subsidies to expire, then blamed Republicans when they expired AS DEMOCRATS DESIGNED THEM TO.

Chuck Schumer voted for clean CRs 29 consecutive times before this shutdown. This was literally the FIRST TIME EVER he voted against one. What changed? The Democrat Party changed. Quinn’s Law #22 states: “Liberals love democracy unless it doesn’t go their way.”

Remember what your own party said about shutdowns?

Obama 2013: “You don’t get to demand a ransom for doing your job.”

Pelosi 2018-2019: “We’re not hostage to your wall. Reopen the government.”

Schumer 2018: “Won’t even come to the table to negotiate a bipartisan CR.”

Hakeem Jeffries 2022: “Republicans are holding the government and the American people hostage to their extreme agenda.”

But when Democrats do the EXACT SAME THING? Suddenly it’s principled governance! Even Senators Fetterman and Cortez Masto couldn’t stomach the hypocrisy and voted WITH Republicans to end the shutdown.

4. THE LEFT SILENCES DISSENT LIKE A CULT

Senator John Fetterman recently said the quiet part out loud: “The most poisonous venom, the bitterest, is from the far left.” He described how after voting to reopen the government, the left wished death upon him, cheered for “his next stroke,” and said things like “the doctor let us down” by saving his life.

At Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, protesters disrupted a religious event because they disagreed with the speakers. This is their version of “tolerance.”

Cancel culture operates as the enforcement mechanism. Elon Musk went from progressive darling to public enemy the moment he supported free speech. Joe Rogan, RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Andrew Yang were all heroes until they questioned party orthodoxy. Then they were excommunicated.

Universities have become ideological echo chambers where conservative speakers are banned or shouted down. Social media platforms coordinate to suppress information that contradicts their narrative. They’ve created an information ecosystem where only approved thoughts are allowed.

5. THE DEMOCRAT CULT OF LOCKSTEP VOTING

Watch any State of the Union address. Democrats move in perfect lockstep. When Republicans honored a child with brain cancer getting his dreams fulfilled, Democrats wouldn’t even STAND. That’s not political disagreement, it’s hivemind behavior.

If you deviate from any Democratic vote, the party will destroy you. They’ll use dirt, even fabricated, to primary you, cut off all funding. It’s total conformity or destruction. Fetterman is experiencing this right now for having the audacity to vote for a CLEAN CR that he supported 13 times under Biden.

Classic cult behavior: Social isolation from family at Thanksgiving over political differences (encouraged by mainstream outlets). Public confession and self-criticism rituals through “privilege” confessions. Punishment of heretics like J.K. Rowling. Language control with ever-shifting approved terminology. Grandiose utopian promises like “abolish the police” and “end all oppression.”

6. DEMOCRATS OPPOSE ELECTION TRANSPARENCY

The SAVE Act would simply require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. Democrats voted against it. Why would anyone oppose verifying that voters are actually citizens unless they benefit from non-citizens voting?

Democrats fought the release of Fulton County’s voting logs and paper ballots. If elections were secure and transparent, why fight so hard to keep records hidden? When you have nothing to hide, you don’t fight discovery this aggressively.

The 2020 Census produced the widest racial gaps in recorded Census history, with undercounts in Florida and Texas (Republican states) and overcounts in Minnesota and Rhode Island (allowing them to keep congressional seats they should have lost). The data collection methodology under Biden’s administration used “differential privacy” algorithms that distorted small-area population counts, raising constitutional concerns about the “actual Enumeration” requirement.

7. DEMOCRATS TRIED TO REMOVE TRUMP FROM THE BALLOT AND IMPRISON HIM

When they couldn’t beat Trump politically, they tried to remove him from ballots using a creative reading of the 14th Amendment that had never been applied this way in American history. The Supreme Court unanimously rejected this attempt.

When that failed, they prosecuted him in jurisdictions where judges made political contributions AGAINST him, where the judge’s daughter ran a company making millions from anti-Trump advertising for the Harris campaign. Justice Merchan donated to “Stop Republicans PAC” and Biden’s campaign. Even four Supreme Court Justices dissented from allowing the trial to proceed, citing evidentiary immunity concerns.

They succeeded in keeping him in a courtroom instead of on the campaign trail. The trial court allowed the jury to convict WITHOUT unanimously agreeing on what crime Trump allegedly committed. DANY refused to specify what “other crime” was allegedly intended until trial, violating basic due process.

8. USING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO DILUTE CITIZEN VOTES

Democrats promote policies that count illegal immigrants in the census, which determines congressional apportionment and Electoral College votes. This means states with large illegal immigrant populations get MORE representation in Congress and MORE electoral votes, effectively diluting the voting power of American citizens in other states.

This is taxation without representation in reverse. Citizens in states that follow immigration law have their votes devalued while states harboring illegal immigrants get bonus representation. The 2020 Census documented hundreds of thousands of undercounts in Texas and Florida while Democratic states were overcounted.

Here’s my prediction: If the Supreme Court rules that illegal immigrants should NOT be counted in the census because they are transient non-citizens, watch what happens next. I GUARANTEE Democrats would draft legislation requiring illegal immigrants to be counted as THREE-FIFTHS of a person for congressional apportionment purposes. And they wouldn’t bat an eye at the language. The same party that lectures us about the historical evil of the Three-Fifths Compromise would resurrect that EXACT framework to preserve their political power. They’d call it something like the “Fair Representation Act” and accuse anyone who opposes it of racism, completely ignoring that they’re literally proposing to count non-citizens as fractional persons for political representation just like their party did with slaves in 1787.

The historical irony writes itself. Democrats defending slavery needed the Three-Fifths Compromise to inflate their congressional representation. Modern Democrats need illegal immigrants counted in the census for the EXACT SAME REASON, to inflate their representation without those people actually being able to vote. It’s the same playbook, different century.

Studies show 37% of undocumented workers receive less than minimum wage and 76% experience wage theft. Employers use immigration status to intimidate workers. Democrats aren’t protecting immigrants, they’re creating a permanent underclass dependent on government programs that votes for the party promising more handouts.

It’s the antebellum South economic model with extra steps. Back then they said “who will pick the cotton?” Now they say “who will do the jobs Americans won’t do at slave wages?”

9. WHAT ELSE DID I MISS?

Oh, just the TIME Magazine article bragging about “The Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election” describing how a “well-funded cabal of powerful people” worked to “change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.” They literally admitted to coordinating with social media to suppress certain stories and “fortify” the election.

Or how about the 45 Communist Goals read into the Congressional Record on January 10, 1963, by Rep. A.S. Herlong Jr.? Goal #15: “Capture one or both of the U.S. political parties.” Goal #20: “Infiltrate the press.” Goal #21: “Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.” Goal #28: “Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools.” Goal #40: “Discredit the family as an institution.”

How many of those sound familiar in 2025?

The party claiming to “save democracy” has abandoned democratic processes for selecting their own candidates, held the government hostage over subsidies they voted to make temporary, silences dissent through cancel culture, operates with cult-like lockstep conformity, opposes election transparency measures, tried to remove their political opponent from ballots and imprison him, and dilutes citizen votes through census manipulation.

Quinn’s Law #2 says: “If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing.” They accuse us of threatening democracy while they systematically dismantle every democratic safeguard the Founders created.

But what do I know? I’m just a science teacher who actually reads the Federalist Papers and remembers what Democrats said about shutdowns when Republicans were in the White House.
