Stellars….
Just 20 days until winter…
“There is always a bit of excitement with the first snow of the season. It’s always nice to tour the farm early in the morning after a snowfall. Here is a view between two of my horse paddocks.
Even if you’re not a big fan of cold weather, it’s hard not to love a gorgeous snow-covered landscape.” – Martha Stewart’s Farm in Bedford, New York

Hi, Menagerie! It’s snowing in the Panhandle right now. But it’s pretty much melted when it hits ground.

Good morning early birds!
Watching the sun come up brings joy, too.
Hope everyone does well, whatever the local weather.

Good mornin’, and happy Monday! Hard to believe that it’s the 1th of the month already. Sounds like winter is blowing in all around the Country. I found this supposedly real machine to hopefully get your motor running this morning. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Good mornin’ Tex! This looks like enough horsepower to “rev-up” the start of the day! Thank you, sir!

Good day, Texan! Looks like something out of the Ford company commissary. And they’ve already got cups. But if you prefer a large mug, there’s this I can bring over….

This was some of the worst news I heard all weekend…….Ellen may be returning to the States. Apparently, it gets cold in the English countryside this time of year…..and they miss their friends. Phonies.

I haven’t even heard of this guy in FL. I better start paying attention to the news again…Running against Byron Donalds for the R nomination over there.

I think he’ll probably be a better coach for LSU, I don’t know. But I don’t think much of him as a man. Same for Brian Kelly. Seems to me the best coaches though the storied history of college football have all been good, basic, honest, straight shooters.
Speaking of, my husband and I watched Knute Rockne, American Hero yesterday. Man, Ronald Reagan was such a good looking young man!

While I’m sure that those we admired had some flaws that we weren’t privy to, it seems these current ones have a lot of ’em. I’m getting to the point that I’m not real sure about continuing to watch college football anymore.

National Pie Day – I’m in line for any pie…

Rosa Parks Day – the story behind this is that actually this was a planned event. Coordinators had another woman picked out but she had some distasteful history so the abandoned her for Ms. Parks.

Morning czarina! Unfortunately I’m out of pie. Rosa is buried in the cemetery about a mile from here. One thing I remember from her funeral is that the hearse ran out of gas part way through the procession.

Afternoon all. Really cold out today and partly cloudy. No more snow yet, but it is expected a little later.
I need to make some plans and then get some things done for Christmas. So, that is what I will be working on today. And, Saturday is my grandson’s birthday. This should be good.
Hope you all enjoy a nice day.

Good afternoon, Aus! I’ve pulled everything for Christmas down from the attic but that’s as far as I’ve gotten, thus far.

When I moved to my new apartment last January, there is a hearth set up for a free standing fireplace which had no fireplace, which was ugly. I left the tree up and sat it in the hearth. I removed all the decorations except for the lights and it looks pretty cool. So, only some decorations need to be added. I will have my grandchildren over to do it.

Good afternoon, aus! Your snow has been sent our way apparently. The lawns and trees are all beautifully white.
It will soon look like this…
Take care!

We are supposed to get snow showers here momentarily, lasting through tomorrow afternoon. The lake just downhill from me already looks a lot like this.

I’m not sure where the photo was taken. I think it’s down by Lake Coeur d’Alene. Such a lovely lake anyways but in wintertime it’s simply exquisite.

DOGE Says $300 Million in Federal Contracts Terminated in 3 Days
The Department of Government Efficiency, which last updated its website in early October, estimated that more than $214 billion in total has been saved.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has announced that, in line with its guidance, multiple federal agencies terminated contracts worth nearly $300 million last week, coming amid claims that the task force was effectively scrapped with months to go on its charter.
In a post on X on Nov. 28, DOGE said that over the past three days, agencies terminated or reduced 15 contracts with a ceiling value of $289 million and an estimated savings of $140 million.
The contracts that were terminated include a Department of State training contract for “Global Peace Operations Initiative capacity building assistance in Togo,“ the African country, an $80,000 Health and Human Services contract for ”executive coaching,“ and a $2.7 million Housing and Urban Development consulting contract for ”multi-family assessment contractors for green resilient and retrofit program.” Details of the other contracts were not provided.

I am soooo glad they are still accomplishing so much for the American people!

Yes, indeed! The left seems to have stopped commenting on DOGE since it wasn’t a winner to rag on and on against saving money for the American people.
Just like the unsuccessful Seditious Six have pretty much shut up except for the whiny little gargoyle who is still crying that President Trump is trying to kill him. Honestly, man up and stop your sniveling!
