National Guard is in NO. Tourists and locals in the French Quarter are telling the TV stations they are happy the Guard is on the streets as they feel safer.

Good Thanksgiving Thursday Afternoon, to all I missed this morning, including Texan 29, Czarina, WeeWeed, Auscitizen Mom and Stella.
Taking an afternoon break. Tex, that giant coffee pot is just the ticket for today to keep the energy going. Maybe I’ve had a little too much ’cause it seems those turkey eyes are a starin’ at me.
Gonna’ sit a spell and enjoy some of Lucille’s jazz before heading into the next round.

How inspiring!
There are children out there today just like “Sparky.” May they have the fortitude not to give up, find friends to encourage not mock, and believe that God has a plan for their lives. The future can be bright for those who persevere.

I’ve seen several sites state that the young lady in the National Guard who was shot yesterday in DC has passed away. So sad. So young. 😦
