    Stellars….

More Sunrise & Sunset Photos of Costa Rica…

“It’s possible to watch the sun rise out of the Caribbean in the morning then make your way across the entire country of Costa Rica to see the sun sink into the Pacific the same evening.  Nothing symbolizes the relaxation of a tropical beach better than a tropical sunset.  The yellow ball of the sun disappearing into the midnight blue of the ocean with red, pink and orange clouds poised above the waves…”

Good mornin’ and happy Friday! Sure would like to be a fly on the wall today for the meeting between the builder and the boy. That will be the topic of discussion all weekend, I’m thinking. Brought out the combo maker this morning so you can get plenty of sustenance for this busy day. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Read a comment yesterday re the hypocrisy of the Vatican when it comes to illegal immigrants. The powers that be threw them out.

Aus, I’m always disturbed when religious leaders take it upon themselves to order their underlings to support a certain political cause, even when it’s conservative. In the Christian segment of society, it leaves virtually no room for those so ordered to protest that their main mission in this world is not politics but teaching of Jesus Christ and His salvation for humankind, in action and word.

Yes, helping others as indicated in Scripture (such as taking care of widows and orphans) is Biblically commanded. And, yes, we are not to do wrong to strangers or oppress them. But that does not mean we should disobey laws we don’t agree with simply because the person affected is an illegal alien.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan is still in force for the Christian. However, government’s job is largely secular, not religious. God says its job is to see that we can live peaceably in our land and for them to maintain order.

I’m not saying that a pastor should not include in his sermon instruction on the relevance of our U.S. Constitution and how it affects us as Christians. Christians are definitely thinking of ways to follow Christ’s commands while we live under our system.

I did see a video this last week from a pastor discussing illegal immigration and how our national motto, E pluribus unum, “Out of many, one” which our founders selected for the Great Seal Of the United States, should be our guide. Originally it had to do with there being many states but one over-all federal government. Today it still means that but has come to include that the U.S. as a permanent home is not meant for those who are not interested in becoming one with the citizens thus wanting to follow our laws and Constitution. Since there is a legal way to become a permanent inhabitant of America, there is no need to come here illegally at all.

Heavy subject and it’s time for lunch. Have a great rest of your day.

    Good morning, heavy hitters!

Greetings, Lucille, Tex and Wee. And of course all others who pass these pages, including Ernnburn, Menagerie, Miss Stella, Czarina and all those who only read and enjoy.

I’ll grab a cup of Tex’s finest, and join in a toast to the day.

Raining lightly this morning after weeks and weeks of dry skies. Fall is our dry period, and we are in a drought. We had one freezing night then it went back to the 80’s, but TKGV predicted to be 64*.

Have your heard? Diet Coke is the new Millennial Cigarette. Was this really started by the Coca Cola Company for free advertisement, or social media ran out of stuff to talk about?

Mornin’ All. Overcast and cold so far. I think the sun is trying to come out. But, it seems to be a struggle so far.

Hope you all have good weather and enjoy the day.

Good day to you, aus! We’re overcast also, heading to a high of 44 degrees.

I just finished the episodes that were free (*) on YouTube of Tom Selleck’s JESSE STONE series and the weather fits my mood. He was wonderful playing a man in the throes of depression. If interested, view them in sequence starting with “Stone Cold”, then…

      “Night Passage” *

      “Death In Paradise” *

      “Sea Change” *

      “Thin Ice”

      “No Remorse”

      “Innocents Lost” *

      “Benefit Of the Doubt” *

      “Lost In Paradise”

I love Tom Selleck and I think I have seen everything he has ever been in. As far as this series goes, I have seen the whole series probably 4 or 5 time and will probably watch it again.

Did I ever post that I walked him to the sound stage where he was working one time? We’d been talking while seated at the tables outside the commissary and I was going the same way. Of course I made the sacrifice and accompanied him. LOL!

The first time any of us gals in the Universal casting office saw him was perhaps in 1970 when he interviewed for a part on ADAM 12 which starred Martin Milner. He was so drop-dead gorgeous that our mouths were sort of hanging open.

It took him a long time to reach stardom. Humility is probably part of his real persona but I think his rough road helped keep him humble even after everyone knew who he was. Never heard anything rotten about him. In all likelihood he’s still a sweetheart.
