More whining from one of the most miserable, ungrateful people on the planet. Mooch is mad about hair now. Can’t someone write a check big enough for them to shut up and go away? Asking for a friend.

I don’t get this one at all! How can you bitch about white people being to blame when you do something to your hair, voluntarily? And when white people get dreads, or whattheheckever that mop on your head is called, it’s cultural appropriation. So, they get to appropriate our culture then bitch and whine?

And what really kills me, apparently Mike’s Bitch, Whine, Moan, and Blame tour rakes in big bucks! She is so nasty.

The answer to your question is “no”. You couldn’t give her enough to make her go away because he/she wants to have it all and the rest of the world have nothing.

      Fast food I love….

As for road traffic victims, in 1965 Mom, Dad and I were in Nova Scotia visiting my sister. We all rose early in the morning so the family could accompany me to the airport in Halifax for my trip to New York City. I sat in the right front passenger seat for the 4-hour trip. Back roads were not paved, just gravel. It was dark and foggy. The road abruptly became blacktop. Dad stepped on the gas and next thing we knew we were going over a cliff. The car was starting to roll over in the air until the right wheel hit a monster boulder, straightened us out and we landed in a stream. No one injured, but to this day I can still see the headlights shining off the fog and Dad’s brand new Ford 4-door starting to turn over. It’s something none of us ever forgot.

My favorite fast food used to be McDonalds French fries, not so much anymore. But, I have high hopes they will go back to cooking them in lard.

The last week or so has been much like an episode of The Twilight Zone. Lots of infighting among a bunch of people who at one time seemed to be somewhat aligned against the forces of darkness. Now, it’s crazy time.

Speaking of phrases, I love checking out origins of the various phrases we use, mostly without a clue of where they came from.

“What’s the origin of the phrase ‘Stark, raving mad’?”

When we think of the word stark images of severity or bleak isolation may come to mind. That isn’t the meaning of stark in this phrase though, nor incidentally in the phrase ‘stark naked’. The ‘stark’ here has another meaning that is, ‘to the fullest extent; entirely; quite’. This was used as an intensifier to ‘mad’ in the original version of the phrase – ‘stark mad’. That version was in use by 1489 when John Skelton used it in The Death of the Earl of Northumberland….

Afternoon All. It is in the 50’s and sunny out. Nice day. Can’t believe it is so warm.

Went to a wedding yesterday for a couple at our church yesterday. They are young but, very mature. The bride said she had never been to a wedding before. But, it was very beautiful and touching. The bride’s dress was beautiful and modest. It was an a-line with a full skirt that wasn’t too big and a slight train at the back. And, it had sheer long sleeves. She did have a veil with a long train. Her bridesmaids all had blue dresses, but different styles. I thought the ceremony was the most beautiful one I had ever been to.

Oh, my 2 yr old grandson was the ring bearer. He wouldn’t walk, so they put him in a little cart pulled by his 5 yr old sister. He even objected to that. But, as usual with children in these kinds of things, it was adorable. The reception afterwards was at the home of church member who have a building set up for parties and things. It was so pretty and everyone enjoyed it. They cleared the floor and everyone danced, which was really nice. All the children joined and the boys even danced with the girls. The pastor’s youngest daughter who is 3 and very, very shy, wouldn’t even come off the floor. She was still dancing when we left. She loves to dance. I was shocked because she was totally uninhibited.

Well, hope you all are enjoying the day.

I thought I would share the veg I made for dinner tonight. It is something I have made before, and I had to today because the veg needed to be used. It’s delicious.

    3 bell peppers, sliced thick
    1 onion, sliced thick
    several garlic cloves sliced
    mushrooms, sliced
    2 TB tomato paste
    salt
    hot pepper flakes
    garlic powder
    dried Italian seasoning mix

Cook peppers and onions in olive oil with salt, covered, to soften
Add tomato paste and garlic, seasonings
    Add mushrooms

Cook until vegetables are all softened.
