    Good mornin’, and happy Halloween! I looked for a coffee maker that would fit in, but there isn’t much out there. A million different mugs, but we’re going to have to use an old standby to make the witches brew! Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

    Happy All Hallow’s Eve, and beginning of Allhallowtide. We celebrate gratefully with prayer (and fun) our Communion of Saints, that unity of souls provided through the Death and Resurrection of Christ.

    And no, Halloween is not a pagan festival. The customs that we celebrate today began from Christian roots, most within the last 500 years. Have fun y’all, and may you get lots of treat and nary a trick!

    Loved Halloween when I was growing up. Costuming then walking the streets of our subdivision , only peripherally supervised by adults. Walking around in the dark knowing there were ghosts and such just past the pools of light. All the excitement of the children. Hardly cared about the candy.

      I loved Halloween when I was little. I remember when we were in Norfolk, VA and went door to door, of course with a parent. We would be invited in to people’s homes so they could see our costumes and we got grocery bags full of candy. Everybody seemed to be join in.

    LSU is having a crisis of leadership. First they were already looking for a new president of the school, then they fired the football head coach, then the athletic director quit. Unfortunately this is the bulk of the news today.

    In an October 9 interview with Claremont McKenna College (CMC) student newspaper The Forum, the ex-Republican political commentator described the prospect of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo becoming mayor as “ridiculous.”

    “I think a lot of the younger Democrats are quite impressive,” Kristol told the outlet. When asked if any names stood out to him, he listed Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill, and Mamdani.
