    Yesterday I had a bit of longer time in the car, visiting my brother who lives down in Georgia a ways. He is gravely ill, and I have many things troubling me right now. I prayed to God for his defense, care, mercy, protection, peace and comfort. My soul cried out in deep need to its creator. I decided then to pick some random Psalms to listen to, because they provide comfort, and sometimes I hear the same words I cry out, uttered so much more eloquently by King David, or one of the other Psalmists. But my random selection was this. God does speak to us, so lovingly.

    Psalm 121

    King James Version

    121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

    2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

    3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

    4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

    5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

    6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

    7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

    8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

    Good mornin’, and happy Sunday! I’m guessing that the Schumer Shakedown has not ended by the first post up here today! We’re gonna have plenty to keep us revved up. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

    Afternoon All. Really chilly here this morning. I will have to close my bedroom window in a few days I guess. I made an appointment to get my winter tires put on. It’s coming, folks. I just want to be ready this year.
