Video Notes: In 2007, James Bowen was sleeping in shelters and struggling with heroin addiction on the streets of London. One day, he found a stray ginger cat with an injured leg and decided to care for him. He named him Bob. That small act of kindness changed everything. Caring for Bob gave James structure and purpose. He entered a methadone program, got clean, and started busking with Bob at his side — where the pair quickly became local icons. Their bond inspired the bestselling memoir A Street Cat Named Bob, which became a global hit and was later adapted into a movie — with Bob playing himself.
James used his platform to publish more books, including The World According to Bob, Bob to the Rescue, and The Little Book of Bob. He now dedicates his life to helping homeless people and street animals, supporting related charities and raising awareness. Their story is more than a viral moment — it’s a powerful example of how compassion can lead to transformation.

Hi Stella. I am inquiring about using the like button & having to sign in anytime I post, I do use WordPress. It seems all I can like is your photos that you post b4 the comment section after that I cannot like any posts. Does every1 need to do a sign in each time they try to post? Perhaps I might have fixed that part just now as another area to login showed where I cud save my info., still quizzical about the like button though. Thanks for your info.
