Good mornin’, and happy Friday eve, y’all! Looks like DJT is still alive and may be heading to Chi-Town soon. Here’s a bean-to-brew machine for about $10k, so if you see it in your office, you can bet your boss has a nice boat! Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Morning czarina! I’ve recently begun using spice blends; I particularly like the Italian variety. And macadamia nuts are delicious!

Since I started smoking meat, I have a few rubs I use for beef, pork, or chicken. I also like them in other cooking. And for years I’ve had a favorite rub for salmon that my husband brought home from Seattle, after his first fishing trip in British Columbia. Fortunately, the restaurant that makes it also sells online. Anyhow, I’ve discovered I like those blends in casseroles and soups also. Some of them are as good as, or better than, regular seasoning blends.

I am specially fond of Kinder’s blends and rubs. They have a taco seasoning that I use a lot of in my chili, and it makes it very flavorful. Also like their beef stew seasoning. The trick is, if you really want to eliminate all sugar, many rubs do have a little in them. But I don’t find it enough to really mess with my low carb results.

So far I have made my own rib rub (with brown sugar!) and I like it very much. I really do like the prepared Italian seasoning, which contains no salt, and I use it on vegetable mixes that I do. One vegetable mix is zucchini (or yellow squash) with onions, garlic and tomato paste, seasoned with the Italian mix, garlic powder, salt, pepper and hot pepper flakes. The other is like the first one, but with a mix of peppers (bell and hot), onions and garlic.

I also use a garam masala mix sometimes, and steak seasoning. I was gifted a cajun seasoning mix, but haven’t used it yet.

Mornin’ All. A little overcast and somewhat cool. Very nice. It will warm up again this afternoon. But, my apartment stays cool as long as it cools off at night.

Hope you all enjoy the day.

OMG. I wanted to watch the hearing with Kennedy and I find I really need a tranquilizer or at least a glass of wine. The Dems are such liars and make long statements and won’t even give him a chance to answer, even if there is no actual question. I seen them do this all the time, but this seems even worse.
