Good thing I get plenty of time for my coffee first!

Good mornin’, Miss Wee! Reminds me of Gutfeld and Kilmeade and their playful banter! Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Good mornin’, and happy Tuesday! After watching who I would now consider the dumbest Mayor in the Country whine about something that may happen, I decided to look for a different angle this morning. This coffee pot is in a neighboring “I” state, in Stanton, IA. Maybe Mayor Dum-Bass Johnson needs to go to his neighbors and have a big, steaming, hot cup of coffee. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

I’ve only ever driven through Iowa on the way to Nebraska, but, okay, I may need to go. Thanks, and morning T!

Good mornin’, Menage! I never spent much time their either. Our corn in IN looked just like their corn, so there wasn’t much else that we could go explore, I guess. Coffee’s brewing all day, ma’am.

Yeah, but Wee, I’m saying I definitely had a week in that crappy Monday yesterday.
Actually managing to catch one of my typos for a change, I looked back to see that I had written out yeasterday. I am dodging refer to bread baking days that way henceforth.

Mornin’ Tex! That should do it.

Well, the Facebook fiasco I mentioned yesterday continues. Now, she has told me that what I believe is not what I believe, and what I say is not what I say. I don’t have the right to disagree with her, it makes me “guilty of systemic racism and oppression.” I said I believed in governing at the lowest level, meaning local, and state preferential to federal, of course, that spending was out of control, everyone who legally can vote (they accused the Trump admin of denying voter access) and that there was out of control spending and crime in the last administration.
This last really enraged her, and I was told that bringing up the Biden administration “frankly shows my partisanship,” apparently thereby denying me the ability to comment on anything political, and nullifying my opinion. Also, none of those things are actually conservative, she said. I wonder what the heck is? I used a few big words to tell her to eff off.

The last one I blocked was one of my cousins spouting that crap – I told her to eff off and keep her drivel on her own page, not mine. I lost IQ points just reading it….

She’s dumb and not worth your time.

She was definitely out of her league.
When you can’t attack the logic, you attack the man.
Was “ad hominem” on of the big words you used?
Sometimes you write for other readers… in hope.

Good afternoon, all,
An oddly appropriate article for the themes of today, and perhaps a kindred soul.
Arrested for yelling, “We love bacon” during a protest at a mosque in Dalton U.K.

Do y’all remember Ann Barnhardt from the early days of the Treehouse? She doesn’t think women should be allowed to legally vote. Given how politically outspoken she is, and how much she writes about things political, as well as religious, I find that thoroughly hypocritical. If you aren’t resistible enough to have the vote, why should you speak out and try to influence those who do vote?

That’s from the Wayback Machine, Menage! She was one with a pretty good following back then and I can’t remember what it was, but she jumped the shark and I don’t think she ever recovered from it.

yes, but only feels cooler because the humidity dropped into the 30’s. For three days. Still 95-98*. Icky-sticky due back Thursday.

It would be SO nice if we could go back to truth and balance in media. I was watching a Biography program about Thomas Jefferson the other day and had to quit before the end because of the constant reminders that he was a slave owner and took advantage of his 16-year old “concubine”.
By the way, in covering Jefferson, they mentioned only a smidge about the Louisiana Purchase, nothing about the Lewis & Clark expedition, nor the Barbary Pirates. I know this because of the comments section.
As one person put it, A mildly exaggerated description of this documentary: “A biography of Sally Hemings, with an important supporting role played by Thomas Jefferson.”

I have lived in Tennessee most of my life, but only visited The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson’s plantation a few years ago. According to all the plaques and signage, the slaves built it. Rachel got a little credit for running it, Andrew pretty much none. Almost the entire tour was a story about how the slaves did it all, and that is not an unfair summation of what the presentation was.

Mrs. T and I were pondering this after hearing about it on Laura last night. I, of course had to go down the rabbit hole. According to this site, there are just under 2700 4-year institutes of higher learning in the US. That means that each and every one of them would have to add 222 Chi-Com kiddo’s to get to that number. I can assure you that those attending Texas Southern or Prairie View A&M will not be going back to China ready to work on their atomic b*mb. There’s probably a couple more in the same boat. And based on what we’ve seen come out of Harvard lately, they don’t worry me all that much.
