10 Summer Casseroles Even The Southern Heat Can’t Stop Us From Making
By Nellah Bailey McGough
Summer in the South is hot, but so are those early days of fall. And no matter how high the temperature gets, we always turn to casseroles for the ease and heartiness. In fact, some of the best warm-weather casseroles come together with seasonal produce and very simple and short ingredient lists. Even the heat won’t stop us from turning on the oven for these end-of-summer recipes.

Good mornin’, Menage! Coffee’s ready. You gotta people today? 😉

Yep, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are now people days for me. Plus, field trips sometimes on Fridays. I’m going to have to go get some of those anxiety meds they’re trying to prescribe to 6 months old babies now. Or just put vodka in my water bottle. I hate vodka.

Wee, I’m seriously having this framed. Recently re-did the “kids’ room” to make it multifunctional and kind of a retreat for me, and I need pictures!

Good mornin’, Miss Wee! Do these yahoo’s get up and eat a bag of those Sour Patch Kid’s candy every morning? They sure aren’t a happy looking bunch. Coffee’s ready ma’am.

Good mornin’, and happy Tuesday, amigo’s and amiga’s! Looks like half the crew got up extra early this morning. I found this little beauty at a shop in Tijuana and thought you might like it. Calla lilies which were one of my MIL’s favorite flowers. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

What once would have been unthinkable, is certainly within the realm of possibilities after what we’ve learned in the last several months. Was the FBI involved in the OKC bombing? Maybe…….

I’m sure – looks like a whole bunch of “arkancides” happened, too…. wonder which crimes we were being distracted from, eh?? Perhaps a review of Slick and the Beast’s history of that era is in order.

What I remember most about that is the poor FBI guy who had to sit in his car at the intersection next to the Nichols farm, out in the middle of nowhere. I passed him every time I went to visit my mom, who lived about five miles past there.

Well, we know that the FBI was involved in the kidnapping plot of Big Gretch Whitmer.

And, they were pretty inept at that. I don’t know which is scarier, that they do such things against the American people or that they are so inept.

We only know about the times they were caught, which IS scary!

Wow. I got nothing else. Shared with my husband, who also has long said that it made no sense that the building was completely destroyed by external only force.

Remember what happened during the Crusades!
The St. George’s Cross, a red cross on a white field, became the national flag of England and was adopted by Richard the Lionheart during the Crusades, later being used on royal standards and combined with the Scottish St. Andrew’s Cross to form the Union Jack in 1606.

Good day, Czarina! There must be an ice cream specialty company which makes potato-flavored soft serve ice cream, though I haven’t discovered one yet.
In the meantime, let’s send this Juyou soft ice cream maker over to Texan so we can have some coffee-flavored soft serve along with our mugs of the delightful brew…
…and we can celebrate the Wright Brothers…Orville and Wilbur….
…at the same time. See lots of photos here…

INCREDIBLE! He was 21 at the time. Here’s a newspaper article which was updated in 2017….

Sergeant Nicholas Alkemade survived a crash into Nazi-occupied Europe, only to be incarcerated in a notorious POW camp

I looked up his out-of-the-ordinary surname and found…
“The surname Alkemade is believed to have Dutch origins, specifically deriving from the region of the Netherlands.”

Excellent article, “What Every Leader Should Know About the Power of ‘Quiet Coaching’.”

The website and media company, Entrepreneur Media also seem quite worthwhile as is indicated by the note they posted at the bottom….
“We are a proud American independent media company that has never taken a dime of USAID taxpayer money 🇺🇸”
