Right purdy..
With the ongoing rain, how close is the river waterline to your house now?

We’re actually a mile from the river. So, even when it comes out of the banks 100-200 yards, we’re not in danger. We actually can’t even get to it then, because of the live-water creek at the front of our property, which is 800′ from our house with a 30′ drop. We just can’t get out of the property for awhile.

Seven weeks until my Irish play their first game of the season, and I’m impatient. Soon though, my husband and sons will talk all things football, the roster, talents, coaching staff, rival teams, etc., until I get up and leave the room. Still, with the end of summer come two of my favorite things, fall and football, lots of it.

When I get my own universe Wee, it’s gonna be always fall except one week of winter from Christmas Eve to New Year, then we get two weeks of spring and two weeks of summer. Crops grow anyhow. Stupidity has been stamped out, which means all our political problems have been solved.
Oh yeah, all the nutrients you need for peak health are in coffee, bourbon, and chocolate, and the more calories you eat the skinnier you get. The End!

Wee, if you’re interested in some good ole Southern cooking, check out Cooking with Babe on FB. She’s a hoot, and every recipe she shares is boiled down to a couple minute video, which is awesome.
Finishes her tasting with “Lordamercy!!!”
I don’t know where this gal lives, but it’s got to be Deep South.

Good idea for Social Media. I can’t stand gummy worms, but I love horses, that pet safety sticker is a really good idea, and I have lots that I need to give away still.

Mornin’ All. It is overcast and rainy right now and is in the low 50’s. I’m glad to see that. I got up and dressed to take Loki out and had to go back and put on more clothes, hah! The heat started breaking last night before I went to bed. I was sure glad. It was only bad for a few day, but that was enough. It must have rained a lot last night because there is a little standing rain and I haven’t seen that in months.
Well, hope you all are safe and comfortable.

We are going on six hours with no rain. I got rained in today as we have a creek that runs across our driveway and it was running too hard to get out this morning. Found out that officially, we’ve had 20″+ of rain since July 4. Still some chance of rain for the next couple days. The wild thing is that we probably need another 20″ or more to get out of the severe drought designation that we’ve had for the last 3-4 years. But….we’re safe, we’re dry and we had power all day, so I can’t b*tch too much. Thanks for all the kind words and concern.
