Stellars….
Hydrangeas…
Beautiful to see the various shapes and colors of dahlias.
Zinnias are…
A BEAUTY TO BEHOLD
Poet: Catherine Pulsifer
Gardens, a beauty to behold,
Flowers that come from deep in the soil unfold,
The colors of pink, lavender, and yellow,
The beauty has stopped many a fellow.
Peace and serenity are what it brings,
The garden even makes the birds to sing.
Walking through the garden in bloom
Can help take away any gloom.

Good morning Lucille. This is the first poem my grandson memorized. Internet says by an anonymous author, but I had thought I remembered it being the first verse of a longer poem.
I’m glad the sky is painted blue,
And the earth is painted green,
With such a lot of nice fresh air
All sandwiched in between.

Good day to you, Menagerie! Those four lines are perfectly set in cadence. That kind of flow makes it easier to memorize for everyone who loves poetry. When I run across a poem that doesn’t flow, I always have the urge to make it conform…LOL!

Good mornin’, Lucille! Wish we could grow flowers like these out here. My well would run dry to keep ’em in water! Beautimous, as a friend would say!

Good day, Texan! You’ll have to content yourself with flowery paintings and photos….

Good mornin, Miss Wee! I guess she’s prolly gonna get the attention now, since Israel said she can’t come in last night. That should get the TeeVee heads caterwaulin’ with her.

What a disgusting scene. As soon as the camera moved away (I know it is AI) he would throw her down, beat her to a pulp, and rape her. And, she doesn’t even know that and probably wouldn’t believe that if you told her. I am glad she was not allowed into Israel. She shouldn’t be.

You sound just like my husband. He’d drive me nuts if he didn’t have racing season to hold him until we get back to college football. Morning T!

Nah, he’s an old gear head. He always had a love affair with cars, and I’ve always loved that he was more interested in what was under the hood, aerodynamics, and all that, than just seeing a fast race.
I used to like racing too, back when it was kind of a man’s man sport. These young ones seem awful whiny to me.

I’ve quit watching NASCAR. I watch a few Indy races and a couple F1, and that’s it. Everything has been homogenized and watered down for easy TeeVee consumption. No real characters anymore. No Dale, AJ…….

National Ketchup Day
National Veggie Burger Day – only if I can have a lot of ketchup on it
National Moonshine Day – might need some of this to wash it down…
National Start Over Day – Do you remember that old saying “if at first you don’t succeed, then try, try again?” All of us seem to have heard it one time or another in our life. We can all agree it has been used to inspire us to never give up and keep trying. Today, we want to remind everyone despite any setbacks you may have, don’t give up! Keep going, even if that means starting over
National Gingerbread Day – aaaaand dessert.

Good mornin’, czarina. If forced to eat a veggie burger, I would need a large swig of moonshine, because you couldn’t put enough ketchup on the thing to make it taste good. 😉

I have a little grandson who just loves to make gingerbread men. We’ve done it every fall since he was about two.

I really like veggie burgers, am kinda neutral on ketchup except on French fries and fried shrimp and fish, have heard that old saying over and over, and love gingerbread.

Good afternoon, Aus,
You’re feisty today! Neutral on ketchup.
A contrary opinion on veggie burgers.
If you had said that you were glad to see Greta, I might have been worried.
But, then you mentioned liking gingerbread and I knew everything was all right.

Good day, Czarina. I like a veggie burger if I just pretend it’s edible. Using the usual ketchup, hot mustard, iceberg lettuce, dill pickles, a tomato slice and onions creates a proper illusion. Gingerbread for dessert, most certainly, with butter cream frosting….

Mornin’ All. Chilly and very sunny here this morning. I am loving this weather, but I have to remember to put on more clothes each day. LOL. Still, I see so many people around here dressed in summer clothes.
Hope you all have a nice day.

Good day, aus! We have a lovely day here. It’s 81 degrees right now. Montana and Idaho are really nice this time of year.
Speaking of Montana, has anyone heard from Litenmaus recently? Hope everything is OK.
Take care!

Dead Sea Scrolls much older than previously thought, AI-based study finds
By Shane Galvin – Published June 4, 2025
Many of the Dead Sea Scrolls are much older than academics previously thought, a new study claims.
Scientists from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands utilized artificial intelligence to examine the handwriting of the ancient fragments and claim they derived more accurate dates for some writings, including the Book of Daniel, according to a paper published in Plos One.
