Stellars….
McCrory Gardens, Brookings, South Dakota…
My Mum was from South Dakota. I remember her talking about visiting Brookings. I bet she saw some of these buildings when they were new…

Went to the doctor re the skin cancer on Tuesday. No melanoma, no basal cell carcinoma, just five pre-cancerous spots on my face and one on my left hand. All got spritzed with liquid nitrogen. Don’t have to go back to the doc for six months. Praise God, indeed!
To top it off, I had to take a taxi since none of my friends were available due to various ailments. And the nicest fellow in his late 40s was my taxi driver. He was playing Johnny Cash’s HURT. I related that was one of my favorite Cash songs. Thus we talked about music all the way to the doctor’s office, which really did relieve my anxiousness. For my return trip I requested him; and we talked the whole way once again about music. Thank You, Lord!

Your Godly thanksgiving here resonates in such a wonderful way. It’s always good to give thanks, whenever we are blessed. And blessings should be shared. They build us all up.
You probably enriched his day, too, Lucille,
Workers often receive more complaints than compliments.
Sounds like you both enjoyed the trip.

Prison tourism? Fancy digs for the inmates.
Of course, some people might pay to see San Francisco from that vantage point.

Texan, that looks like some fertile imagination work from some region where copper is plentiful.
Just in case you’re wondering, here’s some interesting info on copper (via AI)….
Chile is renowned for its copper production and items. It is the largest producer of copper in the world, contributing a significant portion of global supply.

Czarina,
It’s an “all good days, worthy of remembrance” day. Although paste ups are mostly obsolete these days.

We need something big here to let everyone know about the release of the real story on Steve Scalise and the other Republicans who were shot at baseball practice several years ago. The facts we’re withheld and distorted by the FBI.

An interesting article on dressing the new Pope.

Mr. Mancenelli looks happy in his work.
A bit of humor from Pope John XXIII, whose cassock didn’t fit, when he was Angelo Roncalli, Bishop.
When he was sixty-four years old (1944), an age when most men are thinking of retirement, Roncalli was chosen by Pius XII for the difficult post of nuncio to Paris, where he worked to heal the divisions caused by the war. He travelled widely.
A nuncio, where they exist, has the rank of an ambassador. While in Paris, Roncalli once said: “You know, it’s rough being a papal nuncio. I get invited to these diplomatic parties where everyone stands around with a small plate of canapes trying not to look bored. Then, in walks a shapely woman in a low-cut, revealing gown, and everyone in the whole place turns around and looks — At Me!”
I won’t list the web site that led me to this, because it and others were unfortunately not secure. But I will say that what I learned there makes me want to learn more about him.

Mornin’ All. Still cool outside but bright and sunny. I think it is in the low 60’s.
I am getting ready to go to Bible Study. I have missed it for months since the move. And, afterwards I am going to pick up a dress for my DIL. I was with her last week and her face really lit up when she saw this dress, so I want her to have it. It was more than she was willing to pay so I told her I would give it to her for Mother’s Day and her birthday. I know she really wants it because she didn’t even argue with me about it being too costly. I just hope I can get one in her size.
Well, hope you all enjoy the day.
