We used to go camping in Joshua Tree many years ago. I really loved it there. After my divorce in 1980, I actually went there by myself and I would go to a dry lake surrounded by boulders and sit and read my Zane Grey and Louis Lamour books.

My ex-husband is buried in Joshua Tree Memorial Park. His sister and her husband lived in Twentynine Palms (her husband was in the Air Force).

I’m not familiar with this website, so I can’t confirm this is accurate. But if it is, it tells me everything we suspected about the Pope wasn’t too far off. The “Popemobile” is being gifted to the children of Gaza to be converted into some mobile medical vehicle.

Does not the Pope mobile belong to the Vatican?? It wasn’t his, it was built for a real Pope – John Paul II. How can he have the hubris to “give” it away? Unacceptable.

Pope Francis donated a popemobile he used during his visit to the West Bank in 2014 to be transformed into a mobile health clinic to treat Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip.
The popemobile, a converted Mitsubishi, was donated by President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority for Francis’ visit and was later given to the Franciscan order and then to Caritas after Francis blessed its use in Gaza.
