Mornin’ all ya’all! Going to be another gorgeous day in Charlottesville, VA.
My sister’s agenda is to shop for and purchase a recliner chair for her living room. We drove way across town on Wednesday to the store with the best selection to find out it is closed on Wednesday. Closed on Wednesday!?!? So back we go today.

Morning czarina! Good luck with your shopping. A recliner was one of the first purchases I made for my current home. It is an old fashioned design (like a Morris chair) with oak arms, so it blends in while providing a cushy seat.

Stella,
Where did you find a non-traditional recliner? Most of them are big and bulky. Yours sounds as if it blends well with more traditional furniture.

Mine looks like this one, except it is a brown tweed cloth rather than leather.
ADD: The back of mine is one piece, not two. I don’t think they sell the exact model I have any longer, and I don’t think they sell it in cloth either.

The brand that I have is a Barcalounger, and I bought it in 2001.

National Telephone Day – On February 14, 1876, Marcellus Bailey, one of Bell’s attorneys, rushed into the U.S. Patent office in Boston to file the patent for what would be the telephone.
Later the same day, Elisha Gray filed a patent caveat for a similar device. A caveat is an intent to file for a patent.
There was also a third contender. Antonio Meucci filed a caveat in November of 1871 for a talking telegraph but failed to renew the caveat due to hardships.

Good mornin’, czarina! Little did anyone know what that telephone would evolve into nearly 150 years ago. Breakfast is ready, ma’am.

Love zucchini. Had three plants one year in S. Cal., gave so much away and put it in everything even on a pizza.
