Here is the great Mary Berry making her Hot Cross buns!
And here’s The Recipe

Last year I made one of those Easter breads with eggs in it. Your post was the inspiration. It wasn’t so great.
This year we are having a spiral sliced ham, sliced cheeses, an assortment of good bakery breads, potato salad and a vegetable dish my DIL wants to make, and some desserts.
I bake quite a bit on holidays especially with my youngest little grandson. We’re making this Saturday. If he lets me. The other kids usually follow my lead, and love to make treats and breads. This one usually comes with a half mile long list of specifics he wants and that he has invented in weird combinations. We’ll see.

This is the one vegetable we are having this year, kind of weird with just ham and potato salad, but hey, we are weird people.
Simple, easy, bakes up beautifully in a casserole dish.
Peel carrots and wrap with bacon. Drizzle with maple syrup and bake at 375-400 until browned. Try for uniform sized carrots, and if they are thin, you want to cook the bacon just a bit before wrapping them.
This is one of the easiest things I’ve made for holidays, and everyone loves it.
