This Free Garden In Tennessee Comes To Life With More Than 250,000 Colorful Tulips Each Spring
And more seasonal blooms!

Dixon Gallery & Gardens is small but mighty. It may not be the state’s largest botanical garden, but the cultural spot in the heart of Memphis delivers well beyond its mere 17 acres.

Good mornin’, Lucille! I can’t show this to Mrs. T. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Happy good day to you, Texan! Showing this to Mrs. T just might mean your having to plant a tulip garden out there on the south forty.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday! It’s only been 75 days since the WINNING began and I am exhausted! In a good way. It’s the end of the week and we are in a bit of a hurry, so the combo maker is ready and running. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

And there’s this one, too….

You are quite the detective out there, Lucille! While I’m not sure where you find these, we’re glad that you do! Thank you.

I was not aware of the CSDDD, but I’m pretty sure I don’t like it. This world truly is run by evil people.

National. Hug a Newsperson Day – trying to better their image?
National Vitamin C Day – always think of Linus Pauling
National Jeep 4×4 Day – useful in the swampy areas
National Chicken Cordon Bleu Day – won’t go out of my way to find this
National School Librarian Day – my favorite people in elementary and Junior High school
National Walk Around Things Day – well the laws of physics don’t let you walk thru them

Morning czarina! Jeep 4x4s are useful in the mountains too.

Mornin All. Back in the 20’s. Feels like it, too.
I always take my vitamin C and have for many years because of Linus Pauling. And, I do my best to walk around things instead of trying to go through them because that would make me fall down.
Hope all are safe.

Morning mom! I take B complex, C and D. My new doctor did a bunch of blood work measuring B12, D, magnesium, protein, iron etc. All look good.

Years ago my doctor had me start taking an extra vitamin B 12 and my D was low, too, which was weird since I lived in Central Florida and walked twice a day in the sun. I guess it has something to do with me not being able to tan anymore. Funny thing, though, before Covid hit, I got my dosage mixed up and ended up taking 15,000 units instead of 5,000. I guess that wasn’t a bad thing since I have read that D helps you fight covid. I had a mild case of it.

B12 is important. Before they found out what caused it, pernicious anemia was a killer. Both my maternal grandfather and his sister died of it (1920’s). It is caused by (usually) the body’s inability to absorb B12 from food because of a lack of “intrinsic factor”, which is a protein that helps your intestines absorb vitamin B12. It is made by cells in the stomach lining.

The solution is regular injections of vitamin B12.

Several years ago my neurologist said to give grandma (93 y.o.) a dropper full of B12 liquid under her tongue daily. She had been falling over, collapsing, daily. Within two weeks and for ever after she never fell again. When her levels returned to normal he cut it to every other day.

They have little B12 tablets that go under the tongue as well.

Good day, Czarina! This would definitely be received well at a party…and you can always get some vitamin C via lemon in the sauce….
Hug a newsperson!? Can’t think of a single reason to do so. Have you ever noticed that newsmen are seldom handsome men? Pete comes closest…
Though spending a lot of time in various school library stacks, I don’t remember a single librarian.
Love Jeep 4x4s…but can you walk around them?

Very attractive and very physically fit man with a good speaking voice.
Did I ever mention here at Stella’s that I email corresponded with him several times when he was deployed to Afghanistan (2011-2012)? The exact details of how we struck up such an acquaintance is lost to my memory now.
It might have to do with when I used to send packages to deployed military personnel in the war zones. Anyway he was a sweetheart during our corresponding. He then put me on his email list re announcements when his books were published.

The only reason I can see for them going there now is to look for something to complain about.

PARIS — Far-right leader Marine Le Pen has been handed a lifeline in her bid to become France’s president after a court of appeal said it would issue a decision on her case by summer next year.
The dramatic intervention means the National Rally politician, front-runner to replace Emmanuel Macron in 2027, lives to fight another day after being banned on Monday from running for office.
It is the latest twist in a saga that has gripped French politics. Le Pen, a populist, antimigration firebrand, was found guilty alongside 23 others of embezzling European Parliament funds and handed a mix of fines, suspended prison sentences and bans from public office./em
