It’s an interesting phenomenon. It’s subliminal, but once you bring it into your awareness, it’s enlightening. Cars are a good example.
Even Space X Dragon has a face.
Good to see that everyone came through the storms well. Some of those winds were fierce.

Morning T! Somebody has to take the wee early hours I Can’t Sleep job in this world. There are not enough applicants to go around. It’s a calling.

Mornin’ Tex! As a retiree, I get up after eight hours of sleep, whenever that is, depending on when I went to sleep. As the Dowager Countess Violet said, “What’s a weekend?”

Good day, Texan! What a beauty of a coffeemaker! And in case your guests might have unsteady hands, this will assist getting cup to lip…
In answer to your inquiry, as a general rule, Little Gee’s persistent meow is my alarm clock. Otherwise, 9:00-9:30 is my usual wake-up time. Never set the alarm unless I have appointments to get to.

For those who doubt the existence of a swamp or “deep state”, here’s some more proof. Deep in the bowels of the DOJ are the swamp creatures. They survive through multiple adminstrations, but seem to rear their heads only during the time that our team is in charge.

For those of us who started our journey next door, here’s a blast from the past. This “company” first was heard of during Obama’s welcoming of the e-legals. They turned on the turbo jets during the last bunch’s open door policy. Southwest Key programs who “helped” the children loaded up the C-suite with cash…….but they recently laid off 5000 people. I’m good with that.

National Corn Dog Day – haven’t had one in years
National Curl Crush Day – celebrate curly hair
National Panda Day – just got a new couple in the WDC Zoo
National Artichoke Hearts Day – good in salads
National Everything You Know is Right Day – to counter the other day
National Freedom of Information Day – actually I’m getting overloaded recently…

Morning czarina! I have never had a corn dog. Am I missing much? I love the jarred artichoke hearts, but I’ve found that steamed fresh artichokes are mainly a good delivery vessel for a delicious sauce.

I am familiar with corn dogs, but never particularly liked them.

As a perpetual child, I can say that a corn dog is quite the culinary event. Especially if one is at a County or State fair. Mustard is the only condiment allowed on such fare.

A bit of moderate rain after a very windy day. Nothing tornadoes near here.

Good day, Czarina! Good ole tasty steamed artichokes and garlic mayo is my favorite. Simple and you can eat it with your fingers.
Really tried looking for some good looking older males with curly hair to include in items to be celebrated today, but nada. But this young man will pass…

Afternoon all. Somewhat sunny here right now. It snowed a little yesterday and last night, but didn’t stay on the ground. No other news in these parts.
Hope everyone stays safe out there.

Remembering John Glenn: See Footage of His Legendary First Orbit of the Earth | National Geographic
Run the vid to 2:10 to hear a verbal exchange which likely would not be allowed today. All my adult life since February 20, 1962 when I first heard it I’ve thought John Glenn was the one saying the first phrase. Just a few minutes ago I decided to look it up and found this:
“Thomas Joseph O’Malley (October 15, 1915 – November 6, 2009) was an Irish-American aerospace engineer who, as chief test conductor for the Convair division of General Dynamics, was responsible for pushing the button on February 20, 1962 … O’Malley made the Sign of the Cross and said, ‘Good Lord ride all the way’, just before backup astronaut Scott Carpenter, also seated in the blockhouse, made his iconic remark, ‘Godspeed, John Glenn’!” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._J._O%27Malley)

Well, Stellars, I’m going to have to take some time off from posting. I’ve got a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. My right arm where I had two skin cancers removed is giving me fits. The entire arm plus my hand is getting quite painful. I’ve not been a good patient and kept on using the arm as usual when I was supposed to rest it. We do pay for our stupidities.
So, I’ll see you when I see you.
