Here’s some additional thoughts on the whole SS system/racket. The article mentions the Chilean model. There was also a pilot project done in TX back in the very early 1980’s and the results were nothing short if outstanding, but the program was shut down for the rest of us after about three years. I’ll post more about it when I have a bit more time. Don’t forget that all those SSN’s come in handy when it’s time to send out absentee ballots.

Morning T, and thanks for the coffee. I spent time yesterday calling some Catholic bishops to let them know what I think about them suing ME, the taxpayer, for the funds to bring in illegal aliens. I bet you can imagine to non responses I got from staffers.
Most Catholics loathe most American bishops as much as we hate politicians, and that’s just pitiful.
Anyhow, have to teach again today, but maybe I can work in time to bitch at the senators as well.

Did ya’z hear the one about the real governor of GA who almost got $2B to run the grif for a long, long time. It was squirreled away in Inflation Reduction Act money sent out by the low-rent regime. $2B was going to be given to an “organization” that reported $100 in income in 2023.

The Associated Press Busted for Peddling Fake News About the FAA Layoffs
They updated their story, but the tweet says it all: the Associated Press, now banned from Air Force One and the Oval Office, tried to manufacture a narrative of chaos and incompetence regarding the Trump administration’s popular initiative to whittle down the federal bureaucracy through targeted spending cuts. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been the point of the lance in exposing waste and potential fraud.
So, the Associated Press decided to hurl this out on social media, which got slapped down by the Trump White House:
FAA staff fired over the weekend included personnel that worked radar, landing and navigational aid maintenance, among others. Hundreds were fired, just weeks after a fatal mid-air collision in DC killed 67. One employee said they were harassed on Facebook…
For starters, DOGE doesn’t have a Facebook page. The updated story has an even more laughable narrative: that the firing of government workers, also known as AP’s readership, might lead to the collapse of American society:
The Trump administration has begun firing several hundred Federal Aviation Administration employees, upending staff on a busy air travel weekend and just weeks after a January fatal midair collision at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
Probationary workers were targeted in late-night emails Friday notifying them they had been fired, David Spero, president of the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists union, said in a statement.
The impacted workers include personnel hired for FAA radar, landing and navigational aid maintenance, one air traffic controller told The Associated Press. The air traffic controller was not authorized to talk to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity. [more]

Mornin’ All. It is overcast and in the 20’s this morning. It snowed again last night, but it was only an inch or so.
Still not tired of all this winning. Can’t wait to get to the computer to find out what has been done and is on the list of things to be done each day. I remember back when Obama was in office, I would wake up with tears in my eyes dreading what I would find out when I got up. What a difference.

Mornin’ mom! Still cold here and we got another 1/2″ or so of snow last night. Supposed to be much warmer next week, and some of this snow will melt.

Last week we had 20 degrees and snow and ice here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Ten degrees warmer, it would have all been rain. Ten degrees colder it would have all been snow. That inbetween stuff (with lows in the 20s and highs in the 30s) is what makes for miserable and dangerous conditions.
This week is better: highs in the 50s every day and the wind is not blowing fiercely (which it regularly does) so it’s pleasant and sunshiny outside. Sorta feels like spring and bulb growth is sprouting out of the ground around my yard, but I won’t make any assumptions yet!
