National Seed Swap Day – a gentle, friendly act
National Irish Coffee Day – Do I get to start at breakfast?
National Opposite Day I love this one for kids. Do everything with the other hand, change places, make your brown think all day!

Good mornin’, czarina! I’m gonna at least take my first cup without the spine stiffener, but after that all bets are off!
I might give that other hand thing a try, but if I get hungry no guarantees! Coffee’s ready, ma’am!

Thank you for the correction, czarina! I was sitting here staring at that, assuming that in my humorless (sometimes) state I was missing something that was obvious to everyone else!

What Really Is A Coffee Bean? (Is it Considered a Seed?)
By Gabby Rodriguez
A coffee bean is actually not a bean. It’s technically a seed. We simply call it coffee bean because it resembles the basic appearance of a traditional bean.
The beans we typically roast, grind, and brew to make coffee are indeed seedlings from a fruit known as the coffee cherry…
The coffee plants are the ones that produce coffee cherries, and the seeds inside those fruits are the ones we call “coffee beans.”

Good mornin’, and happy Saturday! What an epic 4.5 days we’ve had so far! Our leader showed what leadership looks like yesterday from one end of the Country to the other. I found a little different version of our cowboy coffee pot this morning. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Hi, Menagerie – it’s not spring in Oregon, but it is 40 degrees and daylight is lasting almost until 5, which is nice. The last couple of days have been sunshine, which is also nice.

Good afternoon, all.
Almost forgot my manners rushing for the coffee.
Thanks, Tex,
In to carpe another cup. That pot holds a gracious plenty!

Well, Texan, the pot is a nice brown color to match the bewitching brew. Sending a 12-pack of these mugs….
…for your shelves…though by now you likely need a much larger cup-board….

I Ike the brown color. Only seen blue and black before. Rather not sit by a campfire this morning, as it is still 25*.

Mornin’ All. It is 12* here this morning. I thought it felt a little cold. But, it will get all the way up to a toasty 23* today.
Still have boxes to open. I am going to try to open them all this weekend so I can start the week fresh. I am getting tired of the mess.
Watching the video of President Trump in California yesterday was so great. I am so encouraged by what he has planned and how he is going to overcome all the restrictions on building in California. That Mayor Bass looked like a complete idiot and so did the Congressman who was trying to say things need to be held up for this or that reason. And, I am thrilled that Pete Hegseth was confirmed. That is so good for the military.
Well, keep warm and enjoy the day.

You are an inspiration, Aus.
Moving in the winter (!) and now unpacking all your boxes.
The reward will be a more organized new home.
And some time to relax.

Good afternoon, aus! Love how President Trump reminded a Cali politico that he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to building structures….

Exposing Media Bias: The Truth About Trump’s Birthright Citizenship and Drug Pricing Executive Orders
By Antonio Graceffo Jan. 25, 2025 1:00 pm
Dishonest media are claiming Trump is ending birth right citizenship. This is not the case.
President Trump’s executive order aims to end birthright citizenship for children born to mothers who are either unlawfully present or in the U.S. on temporary visas, provided the father is neither a U.S. citizen nor a lawful permanent resident.
This means the order affects both children of undocumented immigrants as well as children born to parents legally in the U.S. on temporary visas, such as students or tourists.
His rescinding of the Biden-era $2 drug copay has similarly been misrepresented. The Biden program had not yet gone into effect, and it did not reduce the cost of producing drugs.
