Good morning, Texan! The sun is shining brightly this ayem with no snow predicted until the 31st. I’d be perfectly happy not to have snow at all this winter. It’s been minimal so far in the Idaho Panhandle for us folks not living on a mountain.

I love Chicken tortilla soup. My two complaints about it are when it is too watery or when it is sit spicy. I can control both with this recipe.

We did lessons, depending on what they were, outside in the playset, sometimes in the car, on the porch swing, wherever. He could be very inventive, but he seemed to remember the lessons.

Afternoon All. About 10* here, I think. I is supposed to warm up to 16* or so.
I watched a lot of the Inauguration festivities yesterday and really enjoyed it so much. It was good to see Melania smiling and laughing. And, I really got a kick out of her doing the Trump dance a little.
Hope you all stay warm. I am having a little trouble adjusting to this baseboard heat. I think it would be all right if I had a ceiling fan to move the heat around some. I will have to check into that. There is no ceiling light in the LR or I could use one of those new little fans that you just place in the bulb socket. I also need to put something on the bottom of the front door to stop the draft. Getting it done.

In addition to the circulation, try increasing the humidity level in your home. Baseboard heating is drying, and drier air feels colder than air with more humidity.
Air flow + increased humidity can make baseboard heat more tolerable.
Draft stoppers help keep that cold air from drifting across the floor, don’t they? Nothing pleasant about encountering an icy breeze across the floor.
It may be that the door gasket is missing or worn out, if it’s an exterior door. Maintenance may be able to help with that, if it’s so.

Thanks. I found my humidifier today and will set it up. And, I am looking into ways to block the leak under the door. I am using a towel right now. But, I am looking at different types of things to hook under the door to block the air. There used to be carpeting in this apt and they have put wood like flooring. I think that left a big gap under the door. I have seen a couple of things that might work.

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio are free men after President Trump granted pardons to more than 1,500 defendants who faced charges in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Attorneys for both far-right leaders confirmed their release to The Post Tuesday.
Tarrio was 16 months into a 22-year prison sentence on seditious conspiracy and other charges, while Rhodes was almost 20 months into an 18-year sentence for the same offense.

The moment was JD Vance’s mother watching her son be sworn in. All the trauma the woman (much of it self-inflicted) suffered disappeared magically by a simple oath of office. Like Lincoln, he overcame poverty and an alcoholic parent to succeed.
By the way, find someone who looks at you the way Usha Vance looks at her husband.
America had a Happy Inauguration Day. Trump’s second term is off to a good start. He will not govern by DC’s rules, but rather by the Constitution and common sense.
