Good mornin’, and Happy Tuesday! Looks like the taco’s are ready! It appears that the POTUS-in-waiting is grabbing the Swamp by the collar and attempting to shake some sense into these people. If only they had listened to We the People just a little bit this wouldn’t be such a surprise. Our coffee maker is currently in operation in Palmer, AK. Keep your head on a swivel and Carpe your coffee!

This is a tad disturbing. Despite the work of MAGA and other conservative organizations, the onslaught continues from the left and socialist candidates and organizations. Don’t get too comfy.

Afternoon All. IT DIDN’T SNOW AGAIN! Thank goodness. I have an appt with physical therapy and then my DIL is picking me up to go get my car. Hopefully that grade I have to come up will have been well salted and run over enough so I can make it up the hill.
I finally went to the mailbox yesterday. It is about a week since I last went. It is almost a block away. But, by late yesterday afternoon they had salted the outside sidewalks so they were clear. A dog came running down the stairs and started for Loki but I just picked her up and put her in the basket and he stopped. He was on a leash, but the guy had trouble pulling him back until I put her in the cart. The surprise was that Loki just sat down and didn’t try to jump out or anything. She didn’t seem to mind at all. Works great. The basket is about 16″ X 18″ and almost 3′ tall.
I talked to a realtor last night. She is my son’s sil and I just explained my problem with Crestview and the rest and I told her I wasn’t really asking her to do anything but give me some advice. She said she would check some of her resources. She handles high-end homes, so I had never approached her before but got desperate. We will see if anything comes up.

Good day, aus! Intermittent showers today. Went got my mail which I haven’t done since the 21st. The walk wasn’t too hard as the body weakness has abated. I’m going to try getting out each day for a short walk.
Doctor wants me to do physical therapy and Medicare has approved. Hopefully the therapist can teach me some things to do at home while sitting down. We’ll see whether I have the gumption to follow through each day. I really don’t want to go to the therapist offices. I tried to find someone to come to my home. Alas, no home visits are available.
Good that the dog owning neighbor had a tight hold on his dog’s leash. Doggie needs The Dog Daddy training. Miss Loki handled it like a pro. Apparently her philosophy is that good manners matter.

Turkey is still in the freezer, because it is small, and I moved Thanksgiving dinner to Friday because a couple of people had to work on Thursday. We can be thankful on Friday. Bought pumpkin and pecan pies because I really don’t want to fuss too much. Will make stuffing muffins per the recipe the other day, and Waldorf salad, and microwave some California blend veggies per GGS preference. Five people is a small gathering, table only seats six anyway.

He certainly could. He was a wonderful illustrator and craftsman. Look at the hands of the mother and son…beautifully and perfectly done. And the man’s pants have all the right creases/folds for someone who is sitting on a low chair. The entire painting is without flaw.

Norman Rockwell could portray so much in his paintings. In this one, the quiet delight of a mother who looks up from her work to gaze at her son. The son in the Air Force so pleased to be home that even potato peeling couldn’t dampen his grin.
The simple now old-fashioned kitchen table in the background along with the basket of apples, hinting at the menu to come.
Prayers for all those who serve in far-away places who will not be able to come home this Thanksgiving.
