Good mornin’, and Happy Friday kids! DJT has been quite busy as evidenced by the posts already up this morning. We’re going to take a coffee trip unburdened by what has been and to imagine what could be. Here’s an AI version of a steampunk coffee-making machine. I am not surprised by much, but it has snuck up on me, their belief that this is evidence we stole this election. In spite of all the other years numbers being consistent, and 2020 a big aberration.

My home county in the Hill Country is solid red. Although some in town are somewhat suspect as they seem a bit “toward the fringe” shall we say, but not one D on the ballot has won an election since I’ve been voting there. (2000)

LA is always whining they are losing residents, so it seems the Republicans are coming from people ( +3.4) who have awakened to what would be good for them, and those who realized they’d been lied to. MS even more so at +7.5.

National S.T.E.M./S.T.E.A.M Day – science, technology, engineering and math were the focus, to get kids into these much needed tracks, but the soft artsy people pushed their way in and out the pressure back to steer especially girls into non-hard sciences.
National Parents as Teachers Day – should celebrate most every day, but some parents ae not good teachers.
National Cappuchino Day – it’s still coffee!
National Harvey Wallbanger Day – don’t remember when I had one of these! Big 60’s drink.

afternoon all. beautiful day here. the temp dropped so fast from the low 40’s last eve that I had trouble keeping warm and the heater was running solid for hours. very unusual. but it ended up in the 20’s.
I am so excited about most of what I am hearing. half of the group that was coming up thru Mexico have already turned back they say.

It’s been a LONG time since I have heard “….the red, white, and blue” by Toby Curtis (don’t even know if I spelled his name right there….) It’s a good day to hear it.
I had conversation with my career Army grandson (Staff Sgt) a couple of months ago. He considers himself a libertarian now, and has a group of like-minded army buddies, apparently. He is a self-taught historian, collecting everything he can get his hands on going way back. He wants hrd copy books. He told me in that conversation that he already knew he wasn’t going to vote. We talk so seldom (and his family is in a lot of pain because….). I knew I didn’t have the strength to either challenge him or engage him in a big-context conversation. I did not ask him to defend his choice about voting.
I agreed with everything he made observations about, and how he sees things at this point. Except for not voting.
I am one of those 777,000+ Oregonians who voted for POTUS Trump, and helped increase his popular vote margin.

Hi Sharon! Every one of those votes is important, even though the state goes to the other candidate. The popular vote margin removes the “electoral college” argument, and it proves Trump’s mandate.
