Morning everyone. Absolutely the best days of the year here. Beauty all around us, geese at the little pond every day, see deer in the mornings. Wonderful weather for a walk in the woods up the mountain behind us. And how cool is it to see the leaves falling all around and swirling in the breeze?
I love the fall. Only complaint is I haven’t had enough time at home uninterrupted to make soup and bread.

Morning Menage! It’s the perfect fall day here too. The temps have creeped up just a bit, there is a breeze and the sun is shining.
I did make chili yesterday, and roasted a squash for dinner.

Wee, I am making your soup, potatoes, beans sausage, cabbage, kraut, beer. Man, smells good. Rather than digging the crockpot out I decided to do it in a Dutch oven in the oven.
Now I’m undecided as to whether I want to make a bread or cornbread to go with it. Although I almost always lean toward cornbread with beans.

That sounds delicious. I am planning sauerkraut and ham with apples and onions this week. Should I throw in some beans with that, or would it be weird?

I keep trying to think of things to pair with our fermented kimchi, kraut, and pickles. I come up with a lot of pork ideas!

😀😀😀I am dying here! I had it in my head that you said beans. Anyhow, I cooked white beans in with it, and it’s delicious. Chris says it’s the best beans he’s had a long time. I layered everything you said, then I added some half cooked beans on it.

Good mornin’, and Happy Hump Day, kids! Well, I guess we now know what the other team really thinks about us now. Much like eight years ago. I’m pretty broke up about it. So much so that I’m going to make myself feel better. I found one of the prettiest coffee makers out there, and it’s pretty grande too! Keep your head on a swivel and Carpe your coffee! Don’t worry that it says cappuccino…….we can have whatever we want in our coffee maker.

Texan, I checked this one out as it looked like something perhaps from Turkey. Interestingly enough it’s from a company called Air Designs headquartered in North Hollywood, CA. They specialize in props and set decorations for films. One of their affiliates is a movie ranch, Middleton Ranch, in Acton, CA.

Supreme Court Allows Virginia to Remove Noncitizens from Voter Rolls before Election
The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that Virginia is entitled to remove noncitizen aliens from its voter rolls, siding with the commonwealth over lower courts less than a week out from the election.
The order comes two days after Virginia attorney general Jason Miyares filed an emergency application, requesting that the Court stay an injunction that ordered Virginia to restore some 1,600 suspected noncitizens who are ineligible to vote to the state’s voter rolls. A federal appeals court upheld the injunction on Sunday, quickly prompting the attorney general to appeal to the Supreme Court.
The Court released the one-page order Wednesday morning, noting that liberal-leaning Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson would have denied Virginia’s emergency request for an appeal.

Tex, all I can say about that coffee maker is it’s extraordinary. I’m not sure there is another quite like it. If you put it in direct sunlight, it might be seen from space.
Trust someone can verify the information about the voter counts in Michigan. The account does not have a check for authenticity. For a “feared” attorney, that might be a good start.

my cast was removed last week and then they found a break they had missed and put another one on. they couldn’t see the break until it had healed a little. this cast is coming off next Tuesday.

Please say a prayer for me. I’m coming down with the flu or a cold. How I could have gotten it is anyone’s guess since I seldom leave the apartment and haven’t been out to dinner since October 6th.
I’m feeling very sick. Please, God, don’t let it be Covid.

Praying for you Lucille. I agree with Stella. Go to the hospital sooner rather than later if you get worse. I can tell you from my husband’s experience, when you get to a certain point, things go bad very fast.

IMO, Brilliant move! I saw something where Norah O’Donnell called Trump’s a “stunt”, and Brain-Freeze “inadvertently” called us garbage. I’m thinking full-scale panic across the aisle!
