Good mornin’, and Happy Friday, y’all! Get ready for another big dump of caca today. Probably around 6:00 this evening on the east coast. Found something a little different for today. Just because. Carpe your coffee!

Watching YouTubes of the Arkansas State Police chase down speeders, I’m convinced young people today take online classes on what to say when the troopers PIT the car and drivers finally have to stop. The popular phrases are: “I’m scared of you.” “I can’t breathe.” “Sir, I’m sorry (with sniffling quite audible)…please, please don’t arrest me.” “I just needed to get home quick.” “I was driving to a safe spot (females use this one a lot after driving 100 mph on a highway with no lighting at night, only reflectors).”

I love hearing troopers respond, “Son (or Miss), fleeing from a traffic stop is a felony in Arkansas. Now you get to go to jail.”

Pothole Pete is at it again. He’s doubling down on his on-track record of getting those EV charging stations online, AND he’s going to screw up your airline rewards beyond what they already are. This post pertains to the first part only.

How many billions is he up to now for what, is it two or three completed, functional ones?

I’ll have you know they’ve built 8 of them so far. And only spent $7.5B. “We” built those because private enterprise had decided they weren’t financially viable. Gotta love gubmint logic.

Holy cow now, T! You gotta give it to him. At this rate he’s almost got it down to less than a billion per horsnwaggle! By government standards, that’s Walmart pricing there.

Morning Menage! I think it’s seven or eight now. Just read that Kamala also screwed up the program to install high speed internet in rural areas. Nothing yet completed!

“In 2021, Vice President Harris agreed to lead a $42 billion effort to expand internet access to millions. It’s been 1,039 days, and no one has been connected—no homes, no businesses, not even a shovel in the ground.”

“It gets worse. No infrastructure will begin until next year at the earliest, and in many cases, not until 2026. This makes it the slowest federal broadband program in recent history.”

          He goes on:

Without having to lay any cable at all or get caught up in any red tape, Washington could give rural households a $600 voucher good for a high-speed Starlink satellite transceiver and WiFi router. While we’re spending the big bucks, make the voucher an even $2,000 and include a year of service.

For that same $42 billion, you could quickly provide a year of high-speed internet to 21 million homes — more than four times the number Biden-Harris promised to help. But where are the opportunities for graft and DEI in that?

National Punch Day I prefer red punch to any of the green ones I’ve seen

National Pepperoni Pizza Day – good choice

National Care for Kids Day – goes without saying

National Fried Rice Day – pork fried rice especially

National String Cheese Day – invented just for kids I think

National POW/MIA Recognition Day – I rarely see the flags flying anymore

National Tradesmen Day – they have been an aggravation to me for the past year. Don’t answer phones, don’t want the work, don’t show up.

Miss Wee….I get so infuriated with people on social media who harken back to the “golden age” of TeeVee and our favorite Uncle, Walter. He played it so straight. Right down the middle. Most of these goobers have no idea how libbo/lefty/commie he actually was. And they won’t listen to anything you tell ’em.

Hi, Czarina! Blessings on all the hard working tradesmen and maintenance. It can be a challenge to find good (and legal) workers.

We just may have to offer lunch as inducement for tradesmen or maintenance to do their jobs. They can have their choice of pizza or fried rice, with string cheese as snacks. And, of course, red punch. Plus, if they need a sitter for the kids, bring them along and they can make some money mowing the lawn or pulling weeds.

      IN REMEMBRANCE…

Can Harris’s Cynical, Run-Out-the Clock Campaign Succeed?

    Victor Davis Hanson | Sep 20, 2024

Cynically running out the clock has been the overarching principle of the entire abbreviated 105-day presidential campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris — ever since President Joe Biden, at the 11th hour, dropped out in July.
