Good morning, Texan!
What to think about AI? Is it fraud? Should it be regulated so that AI cannot pretend to be a real photo or product? Is it covered under the 1st Amendment? If not should regulation demand that AI photos and films be marked as such?
I’m too lazy right now to check if all this is underway and there have been dozens of articles written answering these questions.

The Media’s Criminal Misreporting on Crime
President Trump, as you know, the FBI says overall violent crime is coming down in this country.”
That was ABC News’ David Muir “fact checking” Donald Trump during his debate with Kamala Harris.
Two days later, the Bureau of Justice Statistics released the results of its national crime victimization survey, which showed that the number of victims of violent crime was 41% higher in 2023 than in 2020.
There were almost 170,000 more rapes, 300,000 more robberies, 1.4 million more assaults, 300,000 more claims of domestic violence, and almost 400,000 more crimes with a violent weapon.
This wasn’t a surprise. That same survey showed a significant jump in crime victimization in 2022 – something we noted in this space back in July. (“Now They’re Gaslighting Us About Biden’s ‘Accomplishments’”)
And in January, the Council on Criminal Justice, which tracks crimes in 39 cities, found homicide rates were 18% higher in 2023 than in 2019, aggravated assaults up 8%, gun assaults up 32%, and carjackings up 93%.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released its latest statistics Monday, showing nearly 530,000 migrants flew into the U.S. and were paroled into the country as part of the Biden administration’s controversial mass parole program for those migrating from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela (CHNV).
The August report includes data after the Department of Homeland Security resumed processing new Advance Travel Authorizations (ATAs) in the parole process for the CHNV program.

The data shows that nearly 530,000 migrants flew into the U.S. and were paroled. It also shows that about 813,000 migrants have scheduled appointments that were made on the CBP One app at ports of entry, to be released into the U.S.
Both are considered “lawful pathways” into the U.S. and were created by the Biden administration.
But the numbers do not count in data from the Border Patrol because they are not considered illegal crossings.

Remember when her aides threw her in the back of a van after she had some sort of brain fit during her 2016 campaign, losing her shoe on the curb?
The brain fit remains and reveals a diagnosis of severe personality disorder along the lines of psychopath. Seeing her in action is the only time I feel sorta sorry for Bill, who at least can be charming.

Good mornin’, Miss Stella! I have never known so many people who want to depopulate the earth to such a level as these nut-jobs. A whole bunch of ’em don’t have any kids of their own – Cackles has a step-daughter, and many others have none. I guess they never had time since they were busy cutting everyone’s throats to climb the power ladder. But on one level I’m glad they didn’t procreate, because that’s a few who won’t have a spawn in Congress or the Senate down the road. So, at least there’s that.

Did your doctor say your rib was broken or bruised? Bruised can be as painful as broken.
Did he tell you that If the rib pain gets worse, to go to the ER or Urgent Care?
